    Thanks for the video....I was actually in the boutique today. I am actually impressed that this thing is not as big as I thought it would be. I only have 6 3/4 wrist. The lug width seem normal at 20...but somehow when I wore the strap it just feel tiny strap in term of width. Anyway very cool watch...really thinking about pulling the trigger.

      Black watches wear smaller than dimensions suggest. Also, 2mm of the thickness is the crystal so it wears thinner than you would think too. Add all of this to a 20mm lug width and it’s very wearable. It’s always important to try before you buy.

    Can't decide between this and the hublot unico 42m black magic. Appreciate any views . Thank you

      Other than both being ceramic and flyback chronographs they are very different aesthetics. Not sure I can help. My advice is always to try both on. You will know instantly which you prefer.

      My heart says the hublot but my brain says the aesthetic may become dated in say 5 yrs. The zenith is more timeless.

    • @wheelsandwatches
      @wheelsandwatches  2 месяца назад +1

      I can only agree with that. It’s all personal preference but for me the Hublot is a bit of a jarring design. The Zenith is more classic and I agree will likely stand the test of time better.

      @@wheelsandwatches thank you. For reference my modest collection is made up of grand seiko sgbw301, cartier Santos medium and rolex rootbeer 126711CHNR. Looking for a sports piece to round out the collection

      @@rajmehta6210 nice varied collection. I would class the Cartier and gmt as sports watches personally. A black ceramic watch will certainly add some nice variety. New complication too.

    Thank you for this update. I'm deciding between this watch and the IWC 41 Top Gun Ceratanium (IW388106). Any advice?

    • @wheelsandwatches
      @wheelsandwatches  10 месяцев назад +1

      Two lovely watches to choose between. It all depends what you want. Do you have a preference for one brand or the other? For me the IWC is too monotone. I like the contrast of the black and white of the zenith. I also think the zenith has a technically better and more interesting movement. Finally, I like the quick change strap on the zenith. I’m surprised this IWC doesn’t have this. For me it’s the zenith but as always I would say try both on before making up your mind.

      @@wheelsandwatches I have no brand preference but I'm drawn to the unique properties of Ceratanium. But I love the dial detail and applique indices and lume on the Zenith. Does Ceramic really have a risk of cracking easily like people say?

    • @wheelsandwatches
      @wheelsandwatches  10 месяцев назад +1

      @martycalifornia1414 definitely try them both on chap.
      No, if the watch is made properly and there are no thin elements to it, it will be fine. If you bang a watch hard enough to crack ceramic then you would also ruin a steel case watch. The key is having it insured. Mine is covered on my home contents insurance in and away from the home. All my watches are.

      I have both. Prefer Zenith. Movement matters.

    Does it not bother you that it says "pilot" on the dial in air quotes like a sarcastic statement? "Hey guys, he is a 'pilot' "

    • @wheelsandwatches
      @wheelsandwatches  8 месяцев назад

      It doesn’t bother me but I would rather the quotation marks were not there.
