Hi Rob, could you analyse CR7 as he is listed as 187cm, yet was professionally measured at 185cm. I also believe he wears lifts as he was recently pictured next to Haaland and there is definitely not a near 10cm difference between the two.
I honestly thought he was like 6.4 ish and always tried to hide his height to get more parts in Hollywood. I agree with you nowadays. I hope he can get back to his former physical condition, sad really.

i was predicted to reach 189-191 zone when i was a kid but i ended up 186-187(flat 6'2 out of bed) due to super bad lifestyle. even tho i'm statiscally kinda tall i always go back and forth about how i couldve prevented myself from stunting my growth. on a positive note i think i'm lucky to be above 6ft given my parents short stature but yeah there was a room to be a very comfortable 6'3ish tall guy...

At that height it does not matter you should not worry. Some people are 170cm and wish they were even just 178cm. If it help you life longer being bit shorter than 190cm.
It is what it is. Me personally I was about 178cm at 13. I was predicted to be around 196cm as an adult. However I ended up about 188cm instead. Predictions doesn’t mean anything. It’s all about genetics.

@@pena380 that was back when I was a kid. Now I’m almost 26 years old. No I wouldn’t like being 196cm because it would be much harder to find clothes. I wouldn’t mind being a bit taller like 191cm. But it’s pretty much over for me. At least things could have been worse. I had some classmates that were 178cm like me in 13. When I met them as adults they were the same height. So I’m grateful ended up to the tall side.

You kinda just answered it. But it's only really a slight difference. If ur a healthy 6'6-7'0 dude then you can definitely have a long life just as long as lets say an average height guy Usually if ur above 7'0 then its probably due to a tumor which can definitely shrink ur lifespan compared to average. If ur height is "healthy" or natural growth then u should have a normal lifespan.

Confirmation bias is a thing. Also, from eye level perspective, it can appear as if they are as tall as you or near.
In my college here in the UK, I observe mainly whites for my age (18+ only) and can confidently say that even 5'11 would be a slight stretch for an average.

I was at 180 when I turned 18, and I grew to 182 over the years, but you reached those heights at a younger age, and you have taller parents too, I'm guessing you can get to 185cm.
It’s been 7 months now and I’m now 183 cm in the morning ! So I’ve grown 2.5 cm but I’m about 181.5-182 cm around lunchtime and 7 months ago I was like 179 - 179.5 range during lunch time and I’m still growing

Ronaldos likely solid 6’1. I feel Rob should upgrade him to 6’1 ¼. I dont think 6’1 ½ is plausible tho. As far as Israel, his height is confusing. Listed at 6’4 but can look 6’1.5 to 6’3 with celebs

Its likely that Cristiano often wears heels in his shoes making 6'3 range, sometimes more. It was really noticeable at the 2017 ballon dor Gala when Cr7 was 4cm taller than Kaka which in reality is far from the truth. They both are the same or if anything, Kaka at most a 1/4 inch taller. (0.6cm) Also Cr7 has a high eye level of under 11cms likely. He has everything to look tall. And that video/photo angle of Israel and Cr7 ain't the best

Are there actually any genuine studies that confirm the average Dutch male with a stature of 6 ft 0 or 184cm? I believe a lot of it is self reported, so the average could be considerably lower.
I doubt the average dutch male height is below 6ft. They are pretty tall. Most sources Ive seen had them in the 185cm or 6'1 range. But I think that's more for adults. If you include only elderly then it's probably 181-182 ish, so I think the general male height is around 183cm, slightly over 6ft.

Im half dutch and 187cm. Yeah we're pretty tall, last time I visited was 11 years ago and I was 16 roughly 178cm ish. I do remember feeling pretty short over there and seeing 190cm+ males were common. 184cm for the average seems pretty believable.
@JackiChano Hm. Its just that there are barely any good sources to back this up. A lot of it is self reported and anecdotal from what I've heard. I could be wrong, though.
I could see 184 cm being average for the younger generation and maybe slightly less collectively. It's hard to pinpoint as there isn't a reliable source to go off of.

Rob, do you think its normal to feel slightly short at my height, 177cm morning and 175.5cm before bed, as a male late teen in the UK? Don't get me wrong I don't feel short but maybe ever so slightly below the average, maybe by 0.5-1cm. Is it possible I'm measuring wrong? Because I've measured loads of times in different places, surfaces etc and am never below 5'9
Also, when I stand next to someone around 1-1.5 inch shorter than me I feel about the same height as them, but next to someone the same height as me I feel shorter - I can tell we are the same height from reflections, but from my perspective I can feel shorter. Have you heard of this before?
Eyelevel, posture, and footwear can all change how tall you and others appear. 176cm is the average height of a general male in the UK. 178cm for young adult males. You are slightly shorter for your minority but still in the average range.
i totally relate to that. when im 5 metres behind from someone my height, he can look 1 inches taller and when they walk past me like from the side view, they can look 2-3 inches taller, its crazy illusion lol
@awwefan99 it's actually insane, I can feel only as tall as 5'7 guys if I'm moving and they are more than a few feet away from me. Even stationary I'll stand next to someone I'll think is about my height then see a reflection of us and I am noticeably taller. It's weird

Im bit shorter than you 176.5cm in morning and 174.5cm at night and Iive in Finland where young people average is 179.5-180.5cm debending source. So im 5-6cm under it how you look at it and that is noticeable and make feel short as most are at least 177cm. I would take your height here and live my life happily after.

but its because of injuries, an exception, people at that age do not loose height or if they do then it is very little not even noticeable.

Flu? Doesn't affect your height. Only medical issues known to do that would be aging and wasting diseases such as full blown AIDS or certain types of cancers.

I would say yes Ed, I'm currently 6ft 0.25 at 12pm wake up at around 6ft 5/8 - 6ft 3/4 and go to bed right on 6ft at 19 just about 20. when I was 17 I was around 5ft 11.5 so you could grow another inch or so or even more. I'm leaving my window of growth opportunity until I'm 21 after that I would say I'm officially done.
Based off ur parents I’d expect you to reach 1.80. But if you haven’t grown in a while then chances are you’re close to or pretty much done growing. Ask ur father when he stopped growing
Chances are you will grow again. I was 172 cms at 17 and by the time I was 21 reached my full height of 176.5/177 cms. I grew ultra slow and was probably 172 from 16.5 to 18 when I got to 173 cms. And was roughly 173 cms at 19 before getting to 174 cms at 20. At 21.5 I peaked at 177 cms.
If u haven’t grown in 6 months then ur probably done, or have a tiny bit left. Who knows you might have a random growth spurt years later. Go to ur doctor and check if ur growth plates are fully closed

Hey I need help, I won't turn 14 for another 2.5 months and I'm currently just shy of 5'5 1/2 I'm supposed to be a bit above 5'6 once I turn 14, what's my percentage rate of reaching 6 foot with these stats.
Just focus on optimising your potential height, unlike genetics, which are already pre determined.
Height is actually 70 percent genetic and 30 percent environmental, which is huge!
Sleep 8 hours minimum (ideally 9 to 10 hours as the majority of height growth occurs when sleeping).
Make sure to exercise regularly and have an active lifestyle.
Eating loads healthy foods. (I would recommend eating in a surplus as that will aid height growth, but only if they are nutrient dense. Avoid processed or sugar foods and stay hydrated throughout the day).
Getting vitamin d everydsy is also vital, which can be emitted from the sun.
Do these things, and I can guarantee you will maximise your height potential. I can't guarantee that you will reach 6 ft, as that does depend on genetics too.
That depends on ur parents and close relatives heights. You likely have a ton more to grow. So I wouldn’t worry about if you’re gonna be 6ft. The average 14 yr old boy is anywhere between 5’4 and 5’8

It depends, majority of ur height is influenced by ur parents, part of it could be from grandparents or ancestors as well. I wouldn’t doubt that u stopped growing yet.

Exactly my morning - evening height that i was at 20. Now iam over 25 and havent grown a bit. So why would i want to? Well, i was like 178 at 17 and grown after that 3 cm, that made me suddenly taller then most guys around, who was before the same height or a little taller. You’re dad is 6’8, unless most of ur height genes are from ur mom you’re very likely to be over 6’2

I think the odds are well in your favor. You're already basically 6 ft and have 4-6 years of theoretical growing to do. It slows down after 18, but between 16-18 has a lot of potential. I mean it's possible you could shoot all the way up to his size of 6'8, but honestly I'd hope for no more than 6'4. Badass towering height without as many health problems. You say you'll be happy at 6'2 though, so yeah. If you land anywhere between 6'1-6'4 you can't really go wrong as far as the ideal size.

@PersonOnEarth oh yea, I just turned 16 today, and my dad insisted on measuring me for my bday, so he measured me 3 times and now im just over 6'0 ¼. And was measured at around 5 p.m. I don't know if I got measured wrong, but If It was true, then I grew a half inch in one month, which is pretty good, so there's still hope lol thanks :)
