Excellent video presentation. The graphics helped me to understand that these behemoths are essentially hydraulic machines using the diesel engine as a source of hydraulic power.
I used to operate a 988 then a wa600 . The cat felt more planted and stable, the 600 was quicker and more nimble but easyer to get wheel spin. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the 600 because of operator comfort.
nice video, how can you leave out the former LeToureau now Komatsu L2350 out of the Massive wheel loader video, while showing 6-10 yard machines?? you did the bigger cats that are quarry machines, as are some of the Komatsu units. little disappointing .
The bucket comes in various sizes. Can lift up to 100 metric tonne ... would require a lot of maintenance. We run the smallest bucket which holds 55 metric tonne
Mi piacerebbe nascere un'altra volta per poter usare queste mega macchine .Nella mia vita ho adoperato daicamion pale meccaniche grandi escavatori però queste mega macchine non esistevano ancora.
Not exactly! They actually already use conveyors where it's reasonable to, underground where it's difficult to move things in general. But, for surface mining and especially pit mining, there's no reasonable way to keep up with the continuously changing environment. Basically, a giant dump truck has the capacity to move itself and adapt to the continuously changing environment that a conveyor couldn't.
Maintenance on conveyers are expensive too. Especially on very long ones. Half mile conveyer belt has 880 rollers on the top side alone that have to be greased often.
I operate the wa 1200 and the cat 994K. The cat is a better machine all the way around. Only thing id give the komatsu is the oil filled pins instead using grease. But thats it.
Das sind die richtigen Männerspielzeuge. Aber es gibt auch Frauen die gefallen an ihnen finden würden. Also einigen wir uns auf die Aussage, das es die richtigen Männer & Frauen Spielzeuge sind.
Worked in commercial construction, these would be useless there...most commercial dump trucks would be over-filled with one bucketload. But for mining, perfect.
I know function over form is more important for heavy equipment, but Caterpillar makes some very dated looking machines. Feels like a bunch of old-heads are running the design portion of R&D
The Hitachi at the end was the only one showing how to fill a bucket properly. If auto-load on some other brands means tilting the bucket and hoping to fill it while lifting the arms as you drive further into the pile and still only getting half a bucket.......well, auto-load works perfectly.
What? The operator needing clear vision, clean breathing air by positive pressure, A/C, seating and joystick that reduce fatigue - all there every day in the 994K and earlier editions.
The Caterpillar stuff was great, then you start in with the liter and meter crap, then you really yurned into a raging dumpster fire with that foreign owned junk equipment!!
These machines are true engineering masterpieces!
Now this video is really interesting nice 😊
I like it when the narrator says capacity in metric and standard

It looks great!!
Enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
😊
I like the narrator's voice
That's much appreciated :)
Could you make a video on how these machines are made
nice work, thanks
Great video!!!…🤙😎🤘… Played with Tonka trucks as a kid!!!…

super. tiam trimis opoza a ajuns la tine.
I would love to learn to operate one these machines
I Like Driving Them!
Missing both LeTourneau L-1850 and 2350.
LeTourneau L2350 dwarfs all of those.
Wow
I enjoyed
New era
Hello. Wy arent Cat 994K here?
You left off the big daddy of wheel loaders. The LeTourneau 2350.

If it's built and used in THE US. It is NOT measured in meters. But in feet and inches ...
What is the price difference in electrical and diesel ?
Great video, but could we try to stick to one unit system, also I think the komatsu lifts higher than 2 feet. Other than that, love this stuff
EXACTLY!! Well, we are the only ones who use “standard”, so I can see the reasons…
How about using imperial measurements too.
In the captions :)
That 994K bucket looks smaller compared to it's huge body i dunno just my honest opinion:)

Great video hate the Newton weight power ratios, please kilos or lbs.
Sorry, but where do you mean? When we say torque?
Would not it be cheaper to build a convoyer belt technology instead of expensive machinery from point A to B ?

We love to hear from operators themselves! Thanks for the info!
I work with the 994K too, everyone seems to say the 1200 is superior though I haven'tevenseen one ... obviously L2350 is the big daddy of them all
Dear Santa ?
It'd be a bit hard to fit down the chimney, we'd have to say!
metric + imperial = 😎

Bucket capacity is how many CUBIC FEET ...
994 and komatsu 1200 are the only 2 beasts
Worked in commercial construction, these would be useless there...most commercial dump trucks would be over-filled with one bucketload. But for mining, perfect.
You do realize that the 980s the most popular quarry loader right? They load dump trucks ever day 😂
What is the 980 operator doing? awkward ....
Why is everything in metric not everyone know the metric system
We base units on where the machines originate :)

I won’t one 🤠
No you don’t
Great video! But theses operators really suck. I seen 1 full bucket through the whole thing.
Most of them were auto -load buckets...
@@entrepreneur5563 if auto-load isn't any better then that, they have no business using it. That will add a lot of hours to production.

Alex adrea cortes wants to make everything electric ok so hold on a minute guys i load ya in an hour gotta charge my battery
How beautiful is capitalism and the brutal development of humanity in all areas! 💪🏻💵💸❤️
Bullshit.

pound feet? you mean foot pounds.
That depends on where it's used :)
KOMATSU IS VEREY WEEK LOUDER CATERPILAR IS JAINT 🤣
well I have some sad news, they will have to have thousands of these things to clean up gaza
More than likely. Crazy what is happening in the world these days
If the Cat loader was manufactured in the US get off the metric crap--if not good luck!!!!
994K is from Decatur, Illinois.
Ok👌👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Do you just steal product videos and post them as your own? More bait and click crap!
I’ll tell you right now the ergonomics of a cat sucks butt and are way over rated
What? The operator needing clear vision, clean breathing air by positive pressure, A/C, seating and joystick that reduce fatigue - all there every day in the 994K and earlier editions.
@@larselder874 bro cats don’t even have adjustable arm rest, terrible visibility, and the layout of the cab is terrible.
Hmm. Well, CAT does make a wide range of machines, which one/s were you working with?
The Caterpillar stuff was great, then you start in with the liter and meter crap, then you really yurned into a raging dumpster fire with that foreign owned junk equipment!!
All metric units have imperial conversions in the captions :)
@@LordGizmo when shown on youtube why use that metric crap, especially in the US, then talk up foreign owned crap equipment
@@NakedDave100 remember, the US is the only country in the world to still use imperial system, he has it in brackets for the US folks
