    We do the exact same thing in Somali. Whenever you do something wrong, all the aunties (mom included) well clap their hands and say, ,"Good job" or "Well done" or even "good girl/boy" with that same exact tone of voice. 😂😊

      "Ekushe" for someone older than you or (in plural form) if you are more than one person carrying out an activity while "kushe" is for someone younger than you.

    As a Nigerian, there are five different meanings of 'Ehn'
    1. Ehn - what did you say?
    2. Ehn - Is that so?
    3. Ehn - *sarcastic* you don't mean it
    4. Ehn - let me think about it
    5. Ehn - Yes
    Bonus: ehn said more than once can mean no, really, i don't want and i don't agree with this at all 😂😂

      When a child asks a simple question like, where should I put this mom? If mom expects you to know where to put it without asking, the answer from mom would be that response ... "gbe le mi l'ori" (put it on my head). 🤣

    Yorubas and sarcasm is 5/6, they don't mean anything they're saying. If they're praising you, they could be insulting you and if they're insulting uou could be praising you. Specifically Yorubas, they're drunk with sarcasm

    Yoruba is the most complex language for an outsider to learn, argue with your God, lol. One word can have a billion meanings, you just need to understand the context in which it was used. And not only that, the tone that was used, how they stressed the pronunciation and even the facial gestures or side eye used lol. Just ask your favorite Yoruba aunty. Ku ise, 😂

    Lagos is the most diverse Nigerian state. You can find at least 1 person from all the 250 tribes there. So it's not really a Yoruba state.
    Many people assume that it is because Lagos is located close to the Yoruba region of Nigeria

      Lagos is undisputedly a Yoruba state in the West. Does the fact that people from different tribes live in FCT-Abuja makes it not to be a Northern state? The people that migrated to a place doesn't change the origin of the place.
