I really like the way you do this, I think it would be a shame to lose the original finish and was really pleased to see that you don't repaint like some others would do. Nice piece that reminded me of learning typing at school about a million years ago!

If it's not too late to answer, this appears to be a 5S series, which was made from 1949 to 1958. He doesn't show the serial number, so that's as far as I can specify. I'm working on the same one - mine is from 1953.

Do you have some tips on fixing misaligned text on the left side of the keyboard. Which screw should I loosen to lower those slugs? Thanks for your knowledge and work :)
I have the same issue on my typewriter, but I opted to not fix it. I feel that it gives my typewriter some character and looks unique whenever I type letters on it.
begining to annoy me now ...how do you learn to strip these down ....dont come back with years of practise ...youre young ...is there a guide ti this!...you wont reply though will you
