Both his sonatas for saxophone and flute are amazing!

I played this piece for my graduate recital at UMass/Amherst. When I heard my friend Brian play in sax studio, I was transfixed and knew that I wanted to learn it.

This is a beautiful piece. Muczynski an accomplished composer. I own a recording of a piano trio which is also very good. This is far and away better than the Creston but the Creston more popular. Wonder why.

creston is more accessible; there's only one altissimo note in the entire piece. And it's just a G

Great composition! (it was published in 1971, not 1979)

Opening is played too delicately. Dig into that Forté to make it powerful and more aggressive! It will allow for more beautiful sections later on.
