But since the other person is ghosting me they just take the easy way out because they just don't want to be confronted with someone being hurt. But it would be much easier and less painful actually to just end things politely. I don't think that being honest and writing a last message where you say that it didn't work out has something to do with being an introvert or not. Not doing it is just a coward move.
I would say, "but would you prefer our first child to be a boy or a girl? Amelia is such a cute name, methinks." Then quietly slink back into the dark corner I usually reside in and not show up again until a few months have passed.

The worst is when you’re an introvert dating an extrovert. When you go out together they want to stay until 2 am but you’re already tired of socializing by 10 pm. And on the rare occasion you feel like going out, they dont want to.

Yeahhh, installed a dating app for the first time 2 months ago. About 20 "likes" later I uninstalled it and went back to hiding in my bedroom the rest of the week.

INFJ here, first dates are awesome. Even if it goes nowhere, the prior text conversations weed out people who’s company I wouldn’t enjoy so every date is an amazing conversation and a new friend. My real struggle is anxiety from overthinking and getting attached too quick. INFJ habits of overthinking, finding patterns, and always looking at the long term.
Yeah, it's like, after all our screening to even go on the date, we are dealing with people we wouldn't mind marrying. :D So it's tough to keep distant. It's like, if I thought you were good enough for all the hassle of a first date, most likely I want to marry you. :D
It's true! If I don't see a possibility of marriage, I don't keep a relationship. So many don't get it. If you know you don't work and you continue to keep them around anyway, that's leading them on. Count me out! 🙅
INFJ here. My INTJ hubby suffered for 5 long months as he pretended to like people and parties just to have an excuse to invite me over pretty much every day. I was pretty successful at avoiding those. Then he simply confessed to my best friend how much he was into me and how sad he was that I was never around. 1st kiss was a week later and all pretexts of social extroversion were promptly and permanently cancelled. Sweet relief. This year marks 20 years, 3 countries, and 2 kids later 😁
My friend is super extroverted. She met a guy she liked at a party and they started texting afterwards. He’s super introverted and never made a move. She got annoyed that he never made a move and one day told him that he was her boyfriend. He said “ok.” They’ve been going strong for two years!

One day i said hi to a nice charismatic-looking latina girl in a museum, the interaction turned into an improvised date we spent the whole evening together, and at some point when i ask her about the ring she's wearing and she drops it on me that she took a vow of chastity at her church 😅 I found this properly hilarious Especially as this was one of the coolest and hottest dates ever, we were amazing meaningful conversation and bonding with an overtly sexy sexy vibe to it, At the end of the night i looked her body up and down told her 'you know though, if i took you against your will, ... technically that wouldn't be a violation of your chastity story' and then that's how her vow died in short order 🤣

INTP here. Our dating style can be summed up like this. Way back in the 2000s I lived and worked in D.C. as a barista and part-time web developer, because obviously my goal in life was to become a cliche, but also, hey, free coffee. One day the most physically beautiful man I had ever seen came in, which already made me nervous, but I decided I was an adult and could definitely take his order, probably, so I turned to him and asked what he would like, and instead of responding to my question he just stared directly into my eyes for what seemed like three hellish hours, but was more likely a couple of seconds, then finally gave me his coffee order (STILL making direct eye contact), in a gorgeous Italian accent. By this point you’re probably waiting for some meet cute ending, but that’s not how INTPs do things. I had never been happier to get someone their coffee just so I could break eye contact with him. I was starting to panic, but was talking myself down, telling myself I just had to give him his coffee and he would go, but no. I gave him his coffee and he asked me for directions to a museum, and began making eye contact again. This time he was even smiling. What kind of monster does that? I somehow manage to give him directions, and because I chatter incessantly when I get nervous I start telling him how it’s one of my favorite museums, in an apparent attempt to build a verbal wall between us, and when I finish he says “you have the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen. Would you like to come to the museum with me?” And, because I am one smooth lady who knows how to catch a man, I squealed out the beginnings of a scream, then ran into the back room.
Ha ha ha! "Cemetery". I personally have always loved going to cemeteries and walking around reading headstones. I think about the lives they might have had and wonder what they died from. Super funny video Frank, it's nice to have something to laugh out loud to first thing in the morning. :)
Yeah, cemeteries are interesting. The last time I was at one with some of my family members, we found one group of tombstones where we were able to figure out how old one women was when her parents, sister, first child, and husband died, respectively. Kinda sad, but interesting how much info we could glean about her life just by some names and dates.
I'm an INFJ and my husband is ENTP, and we actually met online playing video games when we were teenagers! I avoided the whole dating thing to the max and was successful lol
I can totally relate to this. The last picture of myself I have was taken one year and a half ago by a friend who was visiting, and I've never used dating apps, because yes, dying along seems a lot more appealing than meet a zillion predators or desperate men online.
The "kissing part" was so awkward. But somehow I just love it! 😂 I hope this is the beginning of more chapters for the introvert's guide survival. This and the previous one are amazing.

INFJ here, I once got into a rant with someone in medical school that I thought science was overrated...on the first date. :D There wasn't a second. I don't know why I thought that was a good idea. I think I made an offhand comment, and then I felt like I had to justify it to not look like a fool. Good job. :D

If you would like too be adopted by an Extrovert stand in some public place and then look around until you see a person talking too a group of people or perhaps someone that's actively looking for conversation, then wait, they will find you and adopt you as a friend. You cannot unfriend them, you are now there friend whether you like it or not.

@@iampidgeon6923 That’s pretty accurate. My first few days of High School, I was super nervous because I didn’t really have anyone to sit with at lunch. One of my now friends invited me to sit with her and her friends and it was great. Granted, it took me a few weeks to feel comfortable enough to sit with them without asking first but eh, that’s life. A few months in she even told one of her friends that they took me under their wings
for some reason i cant help but to do that on first dates though. i just feel so strongly about them and if someone doesnt share something close to mine then i dont consider there to be compatibility
For me it's because they're not as up your a$$ all the time nor high maintenance. They're soft, pretty and don't smell. They please my senses in a good way and dogs don't always.
Because dogs require you to take them outside at least twice a day. You know out the door, in public. Maybe even to a park where there are other people, and other dogs. Unless you have a back yard, and another dog to keep it company. I actually like dogs too, but lot more work than a cat

INFJ here, first dates are awesome. Even if it goes nowhere, the prior text conversations weed out people who’s company I wouldn’t enjoy so every date is an amazing conversation and a new friend.
My real struggle is anxiety from overthinking and getting attached too quick. INFJ habits of overthinking, finding patterns, and always looking at the long term.
Yeah, it's like, after all our screening to even go on the date, we are dealing with people we wouldn't mind marrying. :D So it's tough to keep distant.
It's like, if I thought you were good enough for all the hassle of a first date, most likely I want to marry you. :D
It's true! If I don't see a possibility of marriage, I don't keep a relationship. So many don't get it. If you know you don't work and you continue to keep them around anyway, that's leading them on. Count me out! 🙅

INFJ here. My INTJ hubby suffered for 5 long months as he pretended to like people and parties just to have an excuse to invite me over pretty much every day.
I was pretty successful at avoiding those.
Then he simply confessed to my best friend how much he was into me and how sad he was that I was never around.
1st kiss was a week later and all pretexts of social extroversion were promptly and permanently cancelled. Sweet relief.
This year marks 20 years, 3 countries, and 2 kids later 😁

One day i said hi to a nice charismatic-looking latina girl in a museum, the interaction turned into an improvised date we spent the whole evening together, and at some point when i ask her about the ring she's wearing and she drops it on me that she took a vow of chastity at her church 😅

INTP here. Our dating style can be summed up like this. Way back in the 2000s I lived and worked in D.C. as a barista and part-time web developer, because obviously my goal in life was to become a cliche, but also, hey, free coffee. One day the most physically beautiful man I had ever seen came in, which already made me nervous, but I decided I was an adult and could definitely take his order, probably, so I turned to him and asked what he would like, and instead of responding to my question he just stared directly into my eyes for what seemed like three hellish hours, but was more likely a couple of seconds, then finally gave me his coffee order (STILL making direct eye contact), in a gorgeous Italian accent. By this point you’re probably waiting for some meet cute ending, but that’s not how INTPs do things. I had never been happier to get someone their coffee just so I could break eye contact with him. I was starting to panic, but was talking myself down, telling myself I just had to give him his coffee and he would go, but no. I gave him his coffee and he asked me for directions to a museum, and began making eye contact again. This time he was even smiling. What kind of monster does that? I somehow manage to give him directions, and because I chatter incessantly when I get nervous I start telling him how it’s one of my favorite museums, in an apparent attempt to build a verbal wall between us, and when I finish he says “you have the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen. Would you like to come to the museum with me?” And, because I am one smooth lady who knows how to catch a man, I squealed out the beginnings of a scream, then ran into the back room.

Yeah, cemeteries are interesting. The last time I was at one with some of my family members, we found one group of tombstones where we were able to figure out how old one women was when her parents, sister, first child, and husband died, respectively. Kinda sad, but interesting how much info we could glean about her life just by some names and dates.

I can totally relate to this. The last picture of myself I have was taken one year and a half ago by a friend who was visiting, and I've never used dating apps, because yes, dying along seems a lot more appealing than meet a zillion predators or desperate men online.

One of my now friends invited me to sit with her and her friends and it was great. Granted, it took me a few weeks to feel comfortable enough to sit with them without asking first but eh, that’s life. A few months in she even told one of her friends that they took me under their wings

My first word as a child was 'cat' even though we never had cats or dogs. I've always been fascinated by animals.
For me it's because they're not as up your a$$ all the time nor high maintenance. They're soft, pretty and don't smell. They please my senses in a good way and dogs don't always.
Because dogs require you to take them outside at least twice a day. You know out the door, in public. Maybe even to a park where there are other people, and other dogs. Unless you have a back yard, and another dog to keep it company. I actually like dogs too, but lot more work than a cat
