First (?) : I hate people posting 3 hours RUclips tutorials sometimes it even go up to 6 hours !!! I appreciate people who split the things in different videos... Colt is the man of the situation (I have expectations about your cats in this series 🐈 so I better not be deceived)
Colt Steele I will for sure appreciate :-) I already liked all the videos in advance !!! Hope we hear more about Typescript in the near future (I don’t know in this series I’m talking about the future series) ho and since I am here talking about advanced use of VSCode would be amazing also ;-)
This is the tutorial about webpack I’ve been wanting to see. And the best part is it’s new and divided into several videos. Thanks Colt for putting up the time making this tutorial. Reading docs is good but it’s always great to learn from someone who already have the experience.
extremely well done for former English majors like myself that need a big picture verbal/textual framework before diving into code implementation to get best understanding. subscribing for sure!
Past couple of weeks I was looking out for webpack tutorials which I couldn't grasp, but this one totally worth it. Recommended for everyone. Thanks Colt!
Thanks for simplifying web development for me. whenever I'm faced with a complex idea, I know what direction to turn to -Colt Steele. I'm not so good with words but I can summarily say " I LOVE YOU".
I took your Python 3 course on Udemy this year and I can't tell you how much I loved it. I never understood what people meant when they said they "enjoyed" a course, until I took your python 3 course. The way you break down things and explain it so easily is a God's gift man. You are awesome and I'm going to watch every video you upload on RUclips.
Hello! I'm about 25% done with your web-development boot camp , and just wanted to say thank you. The course has helped me to realize that coding actually isn't as hard to learn as i'd previously thought. It's made me develop a whole new love for coding. So much so that I plan to learn more and pursue a career in it. So, thanks so much!

2+ minutes into the video and still no sign of any cat. I feel cheated, WTF!!! Now seriously, I don't know how your mind works but I find it has the ability to condense knowledge in the exact amount of pieces, all your videos just fit. Looking forward to getting my hands dirty with webpack, as I have with your Developer, Bootsrap and SQL courses. Thanks a lot for everything!
I actually dont know the fundamentals of web pack so I appreciate you going over it in this series. Keep up the good work...and thanks for keeping each video short. It is easier to digest. Tell your cat I said hi :)
Thanks for the free course. Tried learning webpack on my own, but got confused ASAP. 😅 I can finally tackle webpack and follow along with this course thanks to your easy to learn teaching style.
Sure.. your efforts worth's more than just subscribing. You guys are our teachers. We know to be honest on this era, we learn more from RUclips that from school. And we all know the problems with school even we already realized that fact, we just keep quite and better not be suing schools. But yeah internet now a days were Actually our teacher all along.
Great video series! love the fact that you're going with multiple episodes. I would appreciate if you'd do a similar thing with docker and kubernetes, even if as paid course. I'd totally go get it
This was the playlist that introduced me to you, and you are now my favorite instructor. I bought your React course as well, but I haven't finished the big project, I feel it's too large to tackle now, as I am trying to learn backend as well, Express and MySQL :)
Love it, thanks for creating this video series. One question: you didn't talk/include the babel loader, right? I am asking as it seems to be an important feature for a lot of people.
Colt, I don't know if you read the comments section here, but I'd like your permission to reference this course in a presentation I'll be giving at a JavaScript conference this September. Please let me know.
Hi Dmitriy, Check out my "Favorite VSCode Extensions" RUclips video for more info. I use Materal UI theme + Material UI Icons. The font is part of the theme (I think).
Awesome, thanks, Colt! Thought of crossing back into node.js at all? I'd love an updated project from you at some point. Some sort of app that scrapes the web & plugs data into fields, etc. would be cool to do.
Hey Colt! Always awesome to get a course from you! Unrelated question... why are you using bind(this) on your React app methods instead of just using arrow functions?
Hi Daniel! That is a great question! In my (upcoming) course, I go into a ton of detail around bind vs. inline arrow functions vs. class properties. I use all of them in different portions of the course and explain their strengths/weaknesses. Arrow functions are nice and easy, but the downside is that you are creating a new function each time you bind with an arrow. Performance wise, this usually isn't a big issue, but it can be in certain cases. The other reason I often use bind when teaching/recording is that it makes it very clear that we are binding the value of "this". I've found some students just start writing arrow functions because it's what they saw me do, but they don't fully understand WHY. They don't understand the problem, and instead they just treat the arrow as some "react magic" or something that you have to do. I've found that if I use bind when I'm teaching, students don't run into that problem. Everyone can make their own decision once they understand why you need to bind. Anyway...sorry for the long answer!
@@ColtSteeleCode Not at all, thank you for the long answer! That makes a lot of sense. That's why you are one of the most loved instructors out there. Can't wait for your React course! BTW: I got a developer job just on the back of your Web Dev Bootcamp course! And everyone is impressed with my knowledge! ;-) Keep up the great work, man!
Your courses are very helpful. I want to ask if you can roll out a course on RUclips only on "HTML canvas" and how to integrate components like form, etc. on it. Thank you.
Hi Hemant, definitely! I have a list of topics I want to teach on RUclips, and one of the highest items on that list in Canvas. However, I will warn you that I need to slow down a bit on youtube to focus on getting my React course out the door in the next few weeks. I love making youtube videos, but so far I've made a grand total of $13 in ad revenue haha. I'll be back with more videos shortly. Keep your eye out for one on Canvas.
Isn't the same functionality (regarding bundling JS) is acheived by ES6 modules as Webpack? I mean, you just have to add probably only one script in index.html with importing other JS modules in it and that will handle the dependencies. Is Webpack redundant in that case?
Hey colt when did you start this youtube channel? your way of teaching is so popular and well known among developers on udemy and many facebook groups i thought you previously had an youtube channel just like other teachers i know which was playing a huge role. But what now i am seeing is this channel's not much old.
I think instead of only coding along many different projects the best thing to do is learn the stuff and code it along with 1 consist project that'll finish at the end of every course of yours tbh most of the newbies(including me ) get lost by the many projects in the course and lose motive as a result
First (?) : I hate people posting 3 hours RUclips tutorials sometimes it even go up to 6 hours !!! I appreciate people who split the things in different videos... Colt is the man of the situation (I have expectations about your cats in this series 🐈 so I better not be deceived)
One of the cats makes an appearance at the end of the video :) Hope you enjoy the series!

Benjamin Vincent Same here! Who would want that long videos anyway?! Hate those
Norlyn Piquero rarely they put time stamps to different parts ... I don’t have adblock I don’t mind watching more ads if the video is worth it
SAME
Webpack can make devs feel 😱, but after this series you'll feel 😇
Thanks Colt!

I was always confused about webpack before watching this series. Now everything is cleared. Thanks Colt for this great work.

Thank you for the kind words! Webpack is especially tough to learn without first understanding the end product. Hope you enjoy the rest of the series!
