"Squeeze my lemon now.....make the juice run down my leg...".....killer rendition, I'm sure Jimmy would crack a smile!! This is a Howlin' Wolf blues song.... Page's version is amazing...'Killing Floor'
That energy and feel here is so important. Been looking for a cover of this song that wasnt soulless and just someone playing the notes. Good job!! I can tell you’re someone who is connected to their instrument
Squeeze your lemon ‘til the oil from the rind gets on your fingers and you can use it to recondition the rosewood fretboard on your Les Paul. (You know what I’m talkin’ about.)
It took a tear from my eye, my good guy, you lived up to the original (or even better), it's perfect, the rhythm part and the solo, all very well executed. You are a legend! You played with feel and that's the most important thing to me, i'm very proud of you. Cheers from Brazil! 👏👏👏❤️❤️🇧🇷🇧🇷
This was honestly amazing. How close you got it. Like your attention to detail. Not just the licks. But simply when you strum the two chords at the end of the ascending progression you hit the two chords real hard I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. But it's not how hard you hit them. It's about how strategically you hit them. Cause you can't be too hard or too soft. You gotta hit it just right to make it sound like the original. And I could see in the looks in your face you've really trained and practiced that to get it to the point that it honestly sounds identical to the real song. That takes a lot of control as a player to do that.
@@theflyingvvvv man honestly I've been thinking about trading in my sv20h and 212 cab towards a bluesbreaker reissue. I can't seem to get that good tone out of it. But now I'm starting to wonder if it would do better with some lower wattage speakers like greenbacks then the stock v type.
Wow!!! You really nail that Page Zep 2 vibe. Most Excellent! If you're a Zep Head I make some 1973 Madison Square Garden Replica Pickups on my channel which capture the "Post April 1972 " tone..
Man, wow! I had that same Randy Rhoads poster hanging on my wall of my bedroom that I had bought at Record Bar in 1985. I lost it sometime in 1989 and have always regretted that I was unable to hang on to it. Oh and btw fantastic job coverin' "THE LEMON SONG".
Awesome man. Agree with others. A tutorial would be great. Nothing in depth but a quick run through of each section and how you approach it. Heaps of cool little tricks in there that I'd like to get a better look at.
well...as a fellow guitar "player" of yours, i think you've nailed it in every detail...especially some of the solo parts were really bringing Jimmy Page "alive"....yup......respect....i shall give it a shot now too.....:-D
i been playing this song since 1980 so maybe i have it wrong but it seems like the first chord you jump in a bit early idk sounds wrong to me but what do i know

JPs bass lines add so much.
And drums
i actually appreciate you just having the guitar and nothing else
Haha thanks man, I got too lazy to make one.
Yeah I always appreciate that, love to hear isolated instruments
