- "There were a few Grateful Dead songs that you could usually count on to be heard based on the calendar. Samson and Delilah on a Sunday, One More Saturday Night on a Saturday, Werewolves Of London on Halloween, and U.S. Blues on the 4th of July, as the Dead did here in Buffalo in 1989." - David Lemieux

Will you come with me? Won't you come with me? There's no better place to take a long strange trip with the Grateful Dead than right here. We've got music from every single studio album and a bevy of live albums, to boot. There are celebrated live performances from the 70s and 80s and official videos with more skeletons than you can shake your bones at, an exclusive seaside series on what's to come from the band's rich catalog and details on meet-ups all across the promised land. If it's community you’re after, try your hand at our yearly DEAD COVERS PROJECT competition and connect with fellow Dead Heads around the world. Heck, keep your eyes peeled you might even catch a glimpse of Pigpen on keys, Jerry in a GROOVE, Bobby tellin' tales, Mickey talkin' space, Phil and friends, Bill on the beach, or anyone from our extended family.
It's all happenin' right here. Subscribe and you won't miss a thing.

I was at this show. Met a woman earlier in the weekend down at the Jersey Shore and we really connected. Ran into her again at Newark Airport the morning of this show. She told me she was flying home to Rochester. I told her I'd be right next door in Buffalo at the Dead show. She laughed and said she was driving from Rochester to Buffalo to see the same show. Two years later we were married. 33 years later, we still are!!
Love is Real ♥️
Sure you dude lol.
Thanks for the smile. That's a great story.
This makes me super happy ❤
Thats kickass man! Congrats!
I hope Jerry and Brent are having a good time wherever they are 🙏
I'm sure of it! 🎉❤
Wherever they are, please send me there too.
@@earnestwanderer2471 If I could like this 100 times, I would. 🥰 Until then, let's paint a masterpiece. 😊🎶
And pig !
Getting snuggled up to stage left was always where I tried to be. Nothing better than watching Jerry and Brent having a blast on a hot night
So great!! They were firing on all engines on that '89 tour.
I was there!!! Day after my 17th bday. First Dead show. It set the tone for 6 straight years of fun and amazing music live music.
3 days before my first show for the closeout of JFK stadium. I was 17 as well.
Indeed great times !
Dude! My first show too!
I love this era! Thanks for sharing this channel is amazing!
35 years ago. Feeling like yesterday
I got into the Dead because of this channel.
When Jerry and Brent sync up all is right in the world❤
Beautiful, I think I was at this show! The good ole days!!!
Well, that was the most fun I’ve had on a Thursday during lunch in a while! Splendid ☺️
I like to watch Jerry frolic on stage. He consistently is a dope OG.
The plastic dollar
All follower
I swallow a drink
I hit it in the sink with the wink
I give a blink to the sting
I Wing bring the thing up
To sing in the cut as bebop
All sheets hot
My Trees pop the Green Glock
With the beam stalk that Cream
I lean as all Soldier seen in Ice
I mic up roll the dice
Always cut it twice
I mic up the but I hype so I
Cut a slice of the pie
And that’s Y
I'm a swordsman
I'm known for my flow in drunken swords
To record I drink the Irish Whiskey
I tight crispy
Flights I've taken risk heat in the Street
The biz with the beat
I tight sheets
Short as record
Last a second
Before I wreck
I taste the Whiskey
I hit Trees a long time ago
But now I sing slow the legend
In Irish Whiskey dimension
Dripped in Liquid Acid
I drink a lot
Think a lot
Speak my tongue what not Gun on the run
From the Police all slow sweet
I done run by the G thang
Clock a lead swing
And knock out He-Man
That’s part of the plan to stub up and rub out
The club downtown
I dance in to begin
Meet a new friend
I love these live Dead Presentations. I always end up listening a dozen times. What a unique style!
Thanks for sharing, greetings from Italy ✌️
Great show. Sold lots of balloons in the lot. I do miss Uncle Jerry & Brent Mydland may they rest in peace.
I was the 7/4/1990 show Jerry always was smiling for us blues, 4th row right in the middle
My first encore, and it was glorious.
♥️⚘️(~);-}⚘️♥️
I am most Grateful to have experienced both Jerry and Brent, Miami and Foxboro were fire 🔥!
Thanks for posting.
Good as it gets 🥸❤️🔥✌️
give me five ✋️... I'm still alive
my Oh my!
This was the Dead at their best. Old enough to have mastered the craft, still young enough to hit it hard. Jerry somewhat sober, Brent doing what only he could do.
I may be prejudiced, this was the era I was touring, back when I was young and good lookin'.
Yes sir.
only a few hours drive from Troy New York, official home of Uncle Sam ( Samuel Wilson , meatpacker who stamped U.S. on his meat boxes during war of 1812)
Summer time has come and gone.
Umm a certain Jerome Garcia wrote and sings this song. Why is Brent always on the thumbnails?
Cuz Brent's cuter!
@@MyCleverHandle oh jeez lol
Well, by that reasoning, Donna Jean is far and away the cutest. That doesn't mean she should be on half the thumbnails...
Now this is music!!!
I remember 10 maniacs opened and everyone thought it was still intermission music. We had a good laugh. Best show of that tour imo. Best deal EVER
This has gotta be my fave Dead tune. It is right now for sure.
I went to RFK 7/12/89. I don’t think the band knew how much Bruce Hornsby would impact them.
Bruce Hornsby was great!
Miss em both, badly
One of the 4 Dead shows I saw at Rich Stadium. I know how lucky I was.❤
FJB!!!!!!!!
IIRC, it poured rain on & off throughout that show. Because of certain, ahem, "supplementals" I'd taken, I saw sparkly diamonds with smiley faces falling out of the sky.
To the angel who glided down the stairs with chimes or maybe bells and sprayed the back of my neck with a spine-tingling mist of cool water, sitting on the left aisle seat on Phil's side during the break, you made my first show even more memorable.
87 through 91 there were so many special shows. Things got weird after Brent died.
17days before I was real . Can somebody tell me a live set around 72 that I hear I should listen to
Who’s the cool guy who looks like Reggie bannister in. Phantasms
😊😊😊#loveoverallwisdom = יֵשׁוּעַ =ruach ha-kodesh = Yaweh
WAVE IT 🇺🇸⚡️
Watching this while listening n 15 mg of indica gummies
#ugottalisten2b4udie #usblues #brentmydland #jerrygarcia
🎆 It ain’t no luck, I learned to duck 🦆
LoL, I was there!
The ending ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Watch this at 1.25x speed - it whips!
As if
Try it at 0.75x to get a sped up Dead and Co
‘merica!
Always hard for me to enjoy Garcia in the later years after his diabetic coma. He wasn't the same after that.
Was there. One of my favorite shows.
❤️🫶🏼💙
Awesome Jerry shred at the end
WTF is Bobby wearing. Smh
Before your time apparently. That, or variations of it, was his preferred choice of clothing for many years🤣🌹💀
Pony tail, short shorts and an Izod. The girls were crazy for him.
Was Jerry ever a decent vocalist? Just recently getting into these guys but every live performance I watch his vocals are mid at best. I understand drugs could play a factor in that, but can anyone point me to a really strong vocal performance from him? No hate. Just an uneducated kid tryna get learnt
Love the music but I prefer the Europe 72 energy
If there's one thing I can't stand its a hippie!!!
Cope harder...
Thanks for running up the algorithm with your comments!
@margaretthatcher6828 whatever you liberal hippie, all you people do is argue
