That UX 110 is a complete system that we've been looking for as movie lovers. Built in Stand and Sound System...WOW..Also that Laser TV has us thinking as well.

@@Velosirraton Yes, but how much can we trust a multi-billion dollar technology company that can't even check their own CES presentation?
The likelihood is that someone wrote that card without knowing the difference between "bits" and "nits," or someone used a spell check that didn't know "nits" was a word. In any case, it looks bad.
It does have 10k Nits

If someone advertises a dog for sale, and you drive an hour only to find it is really a log; you would likely be upset with that one letter mistake.
My OP was to point out the obvious mistake, and my follow up comment was an quick examination of why this can be important to marketing - especially at a big event like the CES.
Many of us wanted to see what was new from Hisense this year - particularly in the U8 and U7 series. We didn't get much of that. The 110UX is nice, but most of us won't be buying one anytime soon.

U7N series seem to be U8K with additional features. Waiting for more info on U8N series. I'll be going for 55" U7N or U8N depending on exact feature and price.

Exactly!! Useless presentation and press releases for normal consumers so far. If they take the U7K up to 1500 & 2000 nits at similar pricing to current that will be a good outcome.
@@stevenlawrence2232 I watched caleb denison's video on new hisense u7n yesterday and he said that it will coming with 1500 nits and a probably with 500 dimming zones i think its a big deal, and i think the price maybe or the same either slightly more than the u7k.
This presentation lacked punch because the presenters sound like they are giving a speech in a high school Language Arts class. If the presenters don't sound enthusiastic, the audience won't be enthusiastic either.
Not having a female in the mix of presenters is also a potential problem. Not only do women make up half of the potential audience, a woman's voice is a nice change of pace in any presentation - especially when the men are dropping names, so they sound like an old boys club.
This presentation reminded me of the Mercury astronaut presentation in The Right Stuff, except it didn't have a John Glenn to get the crowd involved and vested in the program.
Dave VanderWaal (timestamp 35:30) should have asked his daughter Grace to present, she would liven it up.
No one will never top the U8K. It's Alien tech. It is the ultimate TV that will never be bested by anyone or anything ever.
Well, maybe we will see a U8L in the summer. Both the U8 and U7 need more zones and should have a wide angle IPS screen.
I got the U8k and then bought an S90C. I did this because my dad needed a TV and I really wanted to try a QD-OLED at a very big discount. The S90C is very close to the S95C flagship at a lower cost. Not only this, but I chose QD-OLED over MLA OLED of the G3 as the LG panels this last generation where a bit washed out due to all the extra W in the WOLED.
This may he an unpopular opinion, but the U8K truly traded blows with this OLED panel (which is considered the best today).
They both had advantages over the other. But man, in some cases, I really miss that Hisense.
@@ehenningsen I need high quality off angle. Are you stating that the off angle viewing of the U8K is anywhere close to the OLED panels?

Looks like all the companies are taking a page from the NVidia notebook and trying to be the biggest one out there - even when that is such a small part of the market.
