IT IS TIME FOR ME TO TAKE ANOTHER THAILAND ROAD TRIP. TODAY WE LEAVE KOH SAMUI AND HEAD TO SICHON

Koh Samui was far too busy and we decided to leave early and come back later in the year when the tourists have all gone home and we can enjoy the real Samui without the crowds and so many dangerous motorbikes buzzing around everywhere. We took the ferry from Samui to Donsak Pier, turned right and headed for one of the best-known temples in Thailand Wat Ai Kai in Sichon.

Hello Gred,i was in march on koh samui,and it was very busy,i visit samui since 1988,and i never seeing it so busy. When i toke the ferry to koh phangan and on arrival i allways rent a scooter and find me self a nice place but this time it was almost not possible, most places where fully booked,so after 4 days i went back to samui and stay on lamai for the rest of my holliday. Hi Janus. Thailand's tourism is getting back to normal now COVID seems to have left us and Samui is booming once again. I definitely won't be going back in the high season again as it was just crazy with the roads busy and hotels full and expensive. Songkran is in a couple of weeks which is another crazy time of the year to be travelling so I might go back to Samui in May when the weather is still good but the island will hopefully be less crowded.

Hi Ged, this is a fascinating video. Is it new? I don’t remember watching it before. Wat Ai Kai does not seem particularly beautiful as architecture, but it certainly is interesting. I may take a trip down there when I come in April-May, but there are so many places I would like to visit. Top of my list is Bagan in Myanmar, but it is probably too dangerous at present. Hope to see you at some point during my stay. Cheers, Colin

Thanks Ged interesting temple . I understand that your not supposed to touch the Buddha head so that’s probably why there are not many gold leaves there.

No you can put gold leaf anywhere on a Buddhist statue in a temple. It's considered bad to touch a Thai person's head even children.

Hi Daniel as I said before, to your last message that you sent me, you get depressed easily mate. I do these videos to help people who may want to visit or live in Thailand and I don't make any money from them. In fact it costs me a lot of time, effort and money to make the videos. If they make you depressed look at other videos on RUclips there's millions of them that probably have music that fits your fine taste or better still start your own channel and show everyone how it should be done.
