For those of you who have a hard time grasping this, you came to the right place. I had one heck of a time with it. This is the best tutorial you will find on RUclips about setting all this up.
I still have a lot to learn, but this got me off and running.

sad missed your giveaway new to GMRS I have two retcvis handhelds and a mobile I looked at that retcvis repeater but its out of budget no repeaters in the area so ID use it but kind of a long shot getting more equipment right now

Saw in one of your videos that you had low power output on your H3 at one point...
I have contacted Tidradio, but no luck in a fix so far.
What did you do to fix yours?
I've followed all the steps on how to install gmrs live on a raspberry pi but every time I boot it gives me a rainbow screen and just hangs on that.
I've tried with two different micro sd cards and two different pi's (pi4 & zero 2) both with the same results.
Then I loaded a copy of raspbian on the cards and both boot on the raspberry pi's just fine.
I redownloaded the gmrs live image again and tried it all again with no luck.
I've watched two different youtube videos that show the installation step by step and in both videos the os boots right up.
I've tried multiple img burning programs on windows and mac and all of them give me the rainbow screen and that just hang there until I power down the pi.
I also tried a bunch of different power supplies both official and ones I have laying around just to see if it was a voltage issue but the regular raspbian os boots just fine with any of them.
The sd card that gmrs live is burned on seems like the os is on there and everything looks good until I try to boot.
If anyone else has had this problem or has a fix please let me know. I feel like I've exhausted all of my options.
Hey there! Sometimes it could be normal for the screen to hang but eventually boots up (on first run). In this case, it sounds like it still does not boot up no matter how long it has been. Then I read this - forums.mygmrs.com/topic/4032-running-node-on-raspberry-pi-4modifying-hamvoip/ It's most likely the image will work on a Pi3 if you have one. Otherwise, that forum post may help you. Please keep me updated.

That's correct. Freddie's radio was hooked up as a node and set to a simplex channel. Cheers

Has anyone made GMRSLive a bootable UEFI version? I am looking to run it on an old Chromebox "ASUS CN60"

Not an Attorney here. But yes, Internet Linking to other Nodes within the GMRS Band does not appear to be against the rules.
