Lots of WR17 rudders seem to go ‘wobbly’. I blamed mine on hitting ground when launching from the road trailer - so I got a new floaty rudder and put in on when the boat it in the water. So far so good ! Got back sailing again yesterday (Scotland) it was great !
Beaching in the muddy beaches I think is what hurt mine the most. My launch points would make putting the rudder on in water hard. I'm going to do my best to make it solid. You will see it next week on a video. Thanks. And a shout out to Scotland. There are a lot of subscribers there. In fact, Dave Patterson has come over here and sailed with me. Great guy and it made a fun video. Thanks for the shout, Zig... Now I gotta look up what a floaty rudder is, hehe
Yeah, good stuff. I probably wouldn't bother watching a Metal Detecting video but hey! It's the Zig.... You have definitely got a feel for your equipment.... but maaaate you've gotta start showing some yellow, even if you plant it ! Just for fun. Years ago I got all my spare change accumulated in the draw, put it in an old port pirate type mini chest, went to the beach and buried it at the tidal foot of a cliff.... I picked out a couple of land marks that could pass for sculls and made a treasure map. I showed the little grand sons, and away we went.... They still talk about it today !!! Oh yeah they were a bit disappointed about it being silver.... But at least it wasn't pennies !!! LOL All the best Zig and Mrs Zee....
280 lbs and dropping! When I retired 5 yrs ago I was sitting at 350 lbs... I feel the difference! My knees are barking about the extra walking but I'm good. Going to break out the recumbent bicycle to balance it out. Thanks for the shout, Zig
I just started around x-mas so I'm still a rookie but a fast learner (thanks to watching RUclips videos). Just south of where I am here I found a 1941 walking liberty silver half dollar and a 1942 i think it was silver dime on two separate adventures.. Still hunting the elusive gold ring, hehe. I have found a gold toe ring and a silver nose ring recently also.
There's a sappy(and funny) british comedy you might like called The Detectorists. "Always clear the hole". Thanks for takin us out.
I'll look it up.thanks, Zig
Not to mention "Time Team".
I don’t get a lot of time to go out to the creek but you take me there. Thanks a lot Sir, love your channel.
Glad to help!

Greetings from Spain 🇪🇸
An interesting and different video. So a question: what is some of the best stuff you have ever found while detecting?
