What inspires me most about Duplantis, he always pushes for more. He took the gold and then later went for the world record. He knows years go by fast and he is at his prime, pushing his limits and writing history.
Almost everyone would do that, whenever one athlete remains they almost always go for the record although we know that world records are rarely broken at the olympics...

We were in the Stade de France that evening. What a moment! You can't imagine the loudness, when more than 70.000 visitors go into ecstasy. Insane! And what a wonderful party, when 70.000 visitors leave the Olympic Stadium feeling as gold medal winners and celebrating it together 😍

Envy, selfishness and bitterness is a bad trait that limits one’s ability to achieve success. Knowing one’s limits and strength makes us content and appreciative of our efforts whilst we admire and applaud others. The Greek guy was happy to have cleared the 5.90 which was a personal best The American was excited to have won silver and cleared 5.95 And the champion having won the gold had to also go beyond his limits to set a PB and OR and WR Both the Greek and American knowing the champ had superior ability were happy and proud of him. Being envious and bitter about the success of others only prevents you from attaining something worthwhile.
In this era, we have seen Bolt in 100, 200, Van Niekerk in 400, Rudisha in 800, El Gerouj in 1500, Messi in football, and MONDO DUPLANTIS in Pole Vault
From Duplantis absolutely nailing that last jump after two less successful tries, to him instantly running up to his girlfriend after he made the jump, to the other athletes hyping the croud up for the jump and celebrating with him -this clip tickles my brain in so many ways
Never saw it live, but I soon heard about it. What intrigues me is that Duplantis doesn't look that strong, whereas male gymnasts have mighty muscular arms, and you just know they're built for strength. Duplantis is truly one in a few billion, and a true legend. Even more so, for having broken a world record at the Olympics. You can't get better than that.
The insane thing about this record is that you can clearly see he went at least 5 more centimeters above the limit, which means he probably broke the 6:30 Record
I have come from the future saying that Armand Duplantis has broken his world record in the Silesian Diamond League Meeting, with a height of 6,26 (+1 cm). What a beast. And he has the potential to do higher vaults.
For sure, he has done it in practice but again, you must be extremely focused and with huge amount of psychological control in order to do your best at your last try in Olympics.

I always think about the fact that he must have broken that record several times in training. I mean, he has even jumped higher than the current world record in some random attempt in training. And that goes for all records in athletics. I wonder what Bolts ultimate record is.
