⚠️ 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗔𝗡 𝗔𝗗 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗢? If so, I'm sorry that happened. I know it's awful to be startled by a mid-roll ad. I have them disabled on all of my content, but RUclips has a confirmed bug that causes them to play for some viewers anyway. It's not just my channel - this has been a problem across the entire platform since at least mid-2022. RUclips's engineers know about the bug and what causes it to happen, but unfortunately, they have not provided any information about when (or if) they will fix it. The bug tends to manifest as a 30-second mid-roll ad played around the 6-hour mark, and it disproportionately affects iPhone and iPad users. I have been investigating this for a very long time, and I go into more detail about my findings here: ruclips.net/video/ndeUVgZMh1Y/видео.html If you are affected by the bug but still want to access my content, I recommend that you view this video's description and try one of the alternatives I have provided, such as Spotify or Odysee. If you want to stay on RUclips, you'll find that I have live stream versions of my most popular content, and they tend to be safe from the bug - but not always. The only guaranteed way to never get ads on RUclips is to subscribe to RUclips Premium, which I understand is not an option for everyone. As it turns out, the reason I have the luxury of disabling ads everywhere RUclips will let me is because my channel makes the vast majority of its revenue from RUclips Premium. I have reviewed my analytics data and it appears that RUclips does not compensate me for the mid-roll ads in question, which I suspect is because their systems cannot reconcile the fact that a mid-roll ad played even though I have them disabled. You are welcome to reply to this comment with information about what happened to you, but at this point, we have a pretty solid understanding of what's going on and are just hoping it will be fixed. Historically, it helped when viewers would list what type of device they were on, which app or browser was being used, the approximate timestamp of when the ad played, and what company/product/service the ad was for. I appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter, and I'm sorry there isn't more I can do.

Apparently accounts and videos that say “no ads” RUclips’s still adding ads to. Probably their way of trying to push people to buy their subscription but I refuse!! If I have to eventually go record the rain outside in my phone and then play that every nights then I will LOL but like she said. Yes.. thank you for no ads. Although I never mind a few ads in the beginning or very end. It’s the middle that wakes my sleeping child I worry about lol 😅

I actually have a support ticket open with RUclips right now about all of this, and - fingers crossed - they said they might have figured out why it's happening! No word on the root cause or when it will be fixed, but I couldn't even get them to admit it was happening at first! Anyway, yes, there are always options and alternatives to help us get the rest we need.
I’ve been playing this video on the TV in my bedroom almost every night for a few months now. It helps with my anxiety and relaxes me enough to sleep. Thank you so much! I’ve never had (or noticed) any ads with this video for the many hours it’s left playing in the background when I rest. I appreciate it.

I grew up in Montana with glorious rain storms. Now I live in San Francisco where we don't get real rain. Falling asleep to this rain hits all the feels and lets me truly rest. 💖

I can't speak for the other video where that happened to you (maybe they had mid-roll ads, maybe they didn't), but I do have them disabled and my viewers STILL get ads sometimes. I'm so grateful there's no ads there was one video I'd been going to sleep with for years and suddenly they put ads to it nothing like having an ad wake you up in the middle of the night when you already have a hard time staying asleep
I completely agree - but make sure you read my pinned comment because even though I've disabled mid-roll ads, sometimes they play anyway because RUclips disregards my instructions. There are many greedy channels out there that don't care about your wellbeing, but even the ones that do their best can't control what RUclips was. I say all this so you know that there's still a possibility that you'll get an ad during my video, and if that does happen, please see the video description because I've got a long list of other ways you can play the audio.

I have been listening to this every night to fall asleep and it instantly relaxes me. My bf has even been asking me to put it on every night now even though he never previously used any white noice to sleep. The rain sounds are perfect and I love that it has a black screen. I can't speak for the other video where that happened to you (maybe they had mid-roll ads, maybe they didn't), but I do have them disabled and my viewers STILL get ads sometimes. I'm so grateful there's no ads there was one video I'd been going to sleep with for years and suddenly they put ads to it nothing like having an ad wake you up in the middle of the night when you already have a hard time staying asleep
I completely agree - but make sure you read my pinned comment because even though I've disabled mid-roll ads, sometimes they play anyway because RUclips disregards my instructions. There are many greedy channels out there that don't care about your wellbeing, but even the ones that do their best can't control what RUclips was. I say all this so you know that there's still a possibility that you'll get an ad during my video, and if that does happen, please see the video description because I've got a long list of other ways you can play the audio.

Bless you for not shoving ads down our throat. I’m considering getting off RUclips and all other commercial driven forms of media. It’s nice to not be rudely awakened from sleep with a loud blasting commercial that even the neighbors can hear.
The ads are getting quite excessive, I agree. There's not much I can do about it, but a video like this simply shouldn't have ads in the middle of it. As far as I can tell, we're probably safe on that front... for now. 🤷♂️ I do have links to other ways to play this audio if you need to give one a try.

I have been listening to this every night to fall asleep and it instantly relaxes me. My bf has even been asking me to put it on every night now even though he never previously used any white noice to sleep. The rain sounds are perfect and I love that it has a black screen. I also really like that it has no thunder sounds, since I am scared if thunder. ❤😴 Tysm

Have you done heavy rain on windows?A lovely thing in Ireland but doesn't happen much anymore I loved it.
I haven't done that yet, but it's a fantastic idea. So far I've just been setting up outside, but next time it's raining and hitting the windows just right, I might pull out the sampler to get some of that. 😁

As for how there are no ads: RUclips allows creators some degree of control over ad placement in their content. They've taken away a lot of control over time, but this video was grandfathered in and is allowed to not show any ads at all. That may change someday, though... I can't predict what RUclips is going to do.
