which 3d printer or 3d printerservice do you use for your model? all services "i" know brings out undetailed 3d modelsor only on sandstonebase to have color on it, which are not useable for such fine sculpture like you have it. Can you tell me where you let print out your model or the prorcess after print out your model too?
Wouldn't be easier to mark export all subtools in separated files? it exports the sema way and dont use to have any position problems when you import them in other software
Exporting all as separate files works great. But keep in mind when working with stls you will find you often need to export a single mesh out and don't want to always have to replace all of them. Sometimes one mesh will be too high-res, have too many errors, or you forgot to support something and have to re-work one part of it in zbrush. Lastly, that option is in the advanced section and is OFF by default. For the purposes of the demo, exporting one at a time is easy enough!
Mold3D TV both are different ways for the same result, I used this method on this model and didn't have any trouble :) www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/character-people/sci-fi/raisher-the-sky-reaper-printable-attack-pose-pack
Hey it’s not working for me, I keep getting default scale. I’m a bit frustrated. I only have two pieces, one inserts into the head but they’re all the same mm. The guy that’s gonna print my sculpture told me that it’s too big.
are there any other steps involved? I have very little experience, but I'm trying to figure out if I would be able to just model something in zbrush and then print it right after as shown in this video? or is there other steps required?
Which 3D printer would you recommend? Can I get away with something in ≤ $1500 range or do I have to shell out $3500 for form 2? Or do I need some industrial strength machine that I'll never be able to afford outside of a giant vfx studio?
Hello, i have a problem when exporting in STL. My STL file is very large (780Mb). I use decimation but it's still 500Mb+. And it's not anything big, it's just a dog, so you can imagine how much detail i use, nothing crazy! Is there something else i should do?
+Christos Fragoulias Keep decimating! You should aim for the 200-500k range in the decimation master slider. 1000 is a absolute max, but I can usually keep all the details all the way down to 250 or so. Hope this helps!
Yes youre 9's are terrible =D Great tut, thanks very much! New to CNC/STL. I will be starting out on a fairly small CNC machine and laser box. After decimation what kind of poly count, should I shoot for?
Polycount will typically be a software limitation. I would start at 1 - 1.5 mil and work back from there.. but only if you have to preserve that much detail.
Cool that's more than enough poly's to work with. I believe my friend is using meshCAM. My first trial will be a relief of a drawing, I was planning on making a plane, applying the image as a texture and sculpting the details on it. Or maybe spotlight would be a better approach. My only problem is figuring out the depth.. i think he said his unit can cut to an inch and a half. Wondering how I can judge that accurately in ZB.
Thanks for the tutorial! I have a few issues with exporting my models but thanks to you all issues have been solved! Thanks again! 😀
What are you doing to make the horns "click" into place after the print? Seems like the geometry, even, lines up well. This a boolean of some kind?
oh didn't know they added a 3d print exporter. That is a nice feature. I need to retrain myself to use this program again.

Great Information. Very helpful. Thanks. Do you have an other video for Form 2 sizing?
Thanks for the tips, it really helped me.
Thank You so much for the tutorial!!
Thank you this was very helpful!

there are a lot of option at the
Now, Zbrush has a "remember settings" option in the plugin.
What is the software? I mean where you bring the object from zbrush..
How you calculate the mass of your sculpture to put into a pedestal and don't falls?
Very useful, thanks
which 3d printer work with zbrush
