If you go to Gran Canaria, Playa del Ingles you MUST go to El Dragon. It an excellent restaurant right at the beach. Great food and service.

8:38 ... From the airport take bus 66 , this will bring you to Playa del ingles in just 35 minutes .
Bust budget time is just before summer vacation ( so the month May and the first 2 weeks of June )

My friend and I are seriously considering Gran Canaria as a future destination (we loved Tenerife but hated Lanzarote). We haven't fully decided on where we will stay but was wondering if you could give us some website of local travel agencies that run excursions in the Playa del Ingles aria. Would help if they have an office there we could pop into. Is there a harbour nearby where boat trips can be booked and paid for?

Get the local be to Puerto Rico,you can get boats from there . I would suggest the faster taxi to Mogan the a pretty little town .

Btw ..... Book your hotel or apartment at BOOKING.COM , much better prices ! or look up AIRBNB ! . Also ..... Ryanair is the cheapest for flights to Gran Canaria ! and they fly non stop !
