- The Gamecube Classic has been a dream of many Nintendo fans since they originally announced the "Classic" line. Unfortunately the hardware required to emulate the Gamecube efficiently, costs upwards of $300. In today's video we take a look at a Modded Wii U, which meets all the requirements of a classic console, minus the miniature size. HDMI 1080P resolution, 1000s of games, and a budget friendly price!

You can also get a first gen wii that has support for gamecube even with discs and has a built in gamecube controller inputs but sadly no hd support unless you mod it internally or use an adapter

Was he using a Y cable for the external drive???
I think so. Something about certain drives needing more power to stay on. Best option would be to get an one with its own power source if your afraid of losing saves.
