Military you say, thank you for your service, my Dad 36 years Air Force, 30 years DOD QA, and me USMC Vet, Air Force Civ, DOD, NGA, Andrews AFB, MD, (I had to leave due to MS). We had a 1973 Barracuda, until 1995, my Dads' car given to me at 16, unfortunately the oil pump went out on the belt way and ceased the 318S, Dad sold it. That car was like a rocket, even the smaller 318, plenty of power, and a joy to drive, thank you for the video. May God bless? Semper Fi, Amen.
Great story. I bought my project e body over 30 yrs ago like yourself with very little knowledge and know how. It sat in my garage on jack stands for decades as I saved and sweated to get it on the road. Labor of love no doubt.
That's awesome! We never hear stories from the "little guys" only the mass marketed big name shops. Stories like yours is what inspires people to work on their cars thanks!
Omg! This was my first car in 1975! I Loved it with a passion! I put L60's on back & Keystones all around. All I can say is... if only. Sold it after I had an accident with it. Young n dumb. So fun to see! Even tho yours is a racer. Thanks!
Keep the new content coming! Can’t get enough of Mopar E-Bodies Great job with your Cuda, love the parts list too. Looking forward to the Challenger build as well.
Thanks so much! Can't wait to tear into the Challenger as well. It'll get all the goodies the `Cuda has but we'll redeem ourselves by giving the Challenger nice paint as well haha!
Thank so much for watching! Means a lot coming from a fellow gearhead. The `Cuda has seen quite a few changes since Big Muscle & the 73 Challenger will get the same treatment so stay tuned!
Beuatiful car man!! I'm building a 73 Challenger with the US CarTool level 2 chaasis stiffening and the QA1 coil over suspension. I hope to be out there carving up the roads with you someday. Keep building and more importantly keep driving those cars!!!
Thank you! The US Car Tool products are awesome & have a number of pieces for our 73 Challenger also. QA1 makes good stuff as well but haven't tried any of their parts yet. Good luck on your build!
@@RylisPro I used to have a 73 Cuda that was the same color of blue as yours. My project is a rolling shell right now so I have a long ways to go but coming across your videos has me inspired. Did you have to modify the rear at all to fit those tires?
@@TheSpaceBorn Your 73 Challenger build is further than mine. Ours has a bent passenger frame rail I still need to correct so you'll probably finish your Challenger before me haha! As for the rear the leaf springs are relocated 1.5 inches inward to provide clearance. The rear fenders are folded up as well as the front fenders to fit the 18x10.5 inch wheels all around. The key is the custom offset of the wheels to fit 315's on all four corners. Thanks!
Thank you very much! These E-bodies need to be driven on the racetracks where they belong. Glad you are building your awesome 71 `Cuda to be a monster as well!
Thanks so much! The shop is closed for the time being as we just had a newborn. The `Cuda & the rest of tools are all collecting dust haha! Enjoying the time with my son in the meantime...
Hey! It’s me with another alternator question. I could not quite see, but how much clearance do you have between the alternator and passenger side frame rail? Doesn’t look like you had to notch it.
The gap between the alternator & passenger side frame rail is quite close. About an inch or two inches if I remember correctly? its close but has plenty of clearance for engine movement. I didn't need to notch the frame rail at all. thanks!
The `Cuda runs on custom Forgeline GS1R wheels sized 18x10.5" & all four are mounted with BF Goodrich Rival S tires sized 315/30R-18's. I'm a Forgeline dealer & sell the wheels thanks!
@@RylisPro thanks dude. I just bought a cuda yesterday. 72 cuda. It's a BS23 actual Cuda car. The guy I bought it from gave me 2 340s with the car. Alright I will be in touch about the rims once my bank account adds bank up again. The cuda drain it out. 2/5 San Mateo. Ooh- Rah devil dog.
@@jo-boo4455 hell yeah brother! Congrats on your `Cuda! This video I made of the 73 `Cuda pretty much has all the details on the car, but feel free ask if I can help with any questions!
How much do you think a well sorted out restomod would sell for . Ranges ? I found one with amazing paint and fully restored paint and interior for 35? Is that a good deal . It’s not original Hemi Cuda but it’s my First classic car I am looking to buy so I don’t know what’s a good deal .
It would would depend on a lot of factors just as what engine/transmission combo is installed, what model year it is, too many variables to say for an accurate number
I'm doing the same thing with a 1970 Challenger using the Hellephant engine and T6 Magnum plus a full Schwartz chassis. It is a lot of work but I love the series of tiny and large challenges that come my way and the satisfaction of troubleshooting and overcoming them. Great video and great job! Too bad you feel the need to use profanity as not only me but several other members of our club wanted to show your video to our kids. (Edited because this was said harsher than I intended) Remember, profanity "can be at times" the language of the ignorant.
I agree, bad habits are hard to get rid of as 4 years in the Marines is where I learned all my profane language from. I have a newborn son as well & need to watch my language around him as well... That being said, I still have my freedom of speech & my videos are intended for an adult audience. To make my videos without fully utilizing the English language, profanity included to emphasize my point of view, is just not my style... Maybe that does make me ignorant? Just like anyone I still have lots to learn. Thanks for watching my video & will re-consider the profanity in the future.
@@RylisPro Hey man, I apologize regarding the ignorant comment. That wasnt fair. I also first learned of your car years ago on another youtube channel. Bro I don't count builders cash flow. But paint or not this not a working class build. More like a 1% builders ride. This is easy a $100k+ build. Nice. 😉 Enjoy.
Yeah I have spent a ton of money on the `Cuda over the years through trial & error. Way too much if I'm honest & that was back in the day when parts were reasonable haha thanks!
