Not gunna lie, this is a thought provoking letter. It reminds me of what Cardinal Ratzinger wrote to marcel Lefebrve:
"By giving personal interpretation to the texts of the magesterium, you woukd paradoxically give an example of this liberalism which you fight so strongly and would act contrarily to the goal you pursue" (1987)

God bless you and thank you. You just gave me much to try to convince someone of their errors. Thank you again my sister in Christ for conveying this.

There is also the letter of Fr. Robert Neville to Bishop Fellay upon his leaving, that can easily be found with a search. Campbell got laicized, Neville did not.

As Saint Augustine said to the Donatists: if you are right, the Church is no more; if it is so, She never was; and, if that's the case, why are you, then, so upset?

What writing of Saint Augustine is that from?

Wow that was beautiful, concise and respectful. It would be interesting to hear more. I remember the book "Priest Where is Thy Mass, Mass Where is Thy Priest" was given to me to encourage me to join the SSPX so it seems there are also just as many priests who have reverted or left traditional groups to rejoin the Catholic Church. To hear their stories is helpful

Fun Fact: I left the SSPX because of a book* i bought that was recommended by the Priest of that SSPX Chapel (God indeed works in mysterious ways) 🤣
And all of you who were an immense help providing documentation and primary sources.
Thank you so much because i am now again inside the Ark, and She will never sink no matter what happens.
    Deo Gratias

Very, very interesting, thank you for sharing. I wonder, if all the members of the sspx put as much honest thinking into their situation as that priest did, how many members would there be left?

Was a SSPX for 5 years. Reconciled with Rome. Lives in Australia today. Laicized in 1999.

His laicization was part of his reconciliation seeing as how he was illicitly ordained.
