My rule of thumb for not over doing mods is that I should be able to recall the mod and parts and the time I did it or the price I paid for it without looking at a list
Shit I couldn't even do this with basic maintenance on three vehicles 😂 like, yes the @120,000 mile service was done on the 04 Tribute for $2,500. What did I do? Probably whatever the manual says is what I did 😂
Fuck yea dude!! What year legacy?? And don't be mad about it the legacy is sick and has a way better community than the wrx/sti. You got an Instagram for it??
Honestly glad you looked at cars with him instead of doing an interview, interviews can be very dull and feel very one sided, but this way you’re actually talking to him and he’s included in the fun too. Cool video, this was awesome

Can't tell you how many times I've heard "yeah an intake really risks destroying XXX Subaru motor"...which to me really means "don't buy this car is was engineered with zero overhead"
MrSubaru is 100% right. I'm an industrial mechanic, and I went through 2 Craftsman 3/8" drive, 1 Craftsman 1/4" drive, and a Kobalt 3/8" drive in the span of ~6 months; no breaker bar "extensions." We convinced management to buy us some Snap-On, and they're still perfect 18 months later. Even if the mechanism starts to fail, the rebuild kit is pretty easy to rebuild and maintain. If you're doing serious work, it's so worth it. Buy once, cry once (when reasonable).
Taiwan stuff is actually good, they’re like Japan Lite. It’s basically all the people that fled China when China became communist and went to sht. Taiwan is good people, don’t feel bad supporting them.
True. I’ve seen it in the knife industry, as well. Spyderco, which is an American company, has a factory in Taichung Taiwan, and some would argue the knives coming from that factory are of better quality and have closer tolerances than the knives leaving the American factory in Golden, Colorado. Both produce exceptionally well made knives, but some do find the Taichung Spydies better… …They also have a factory in China, which to no surprise makes their cheapest knives.
Sun roofs open, moon roofs don't open, was my understanding. There's a lot of cars that have glass roofs that do not open, despite it technically being the same size as a sun roof.
My Cadillac has a moonroof and it opens and is marketed as a moon roof every car I seen with a “moonroof” it’s much larger than a “sunroof” moon roof is over front and back seats sun roof is only over the front seats
just found your channel and these videos have me dying! as a wrx wagon owner it had me laughing even harder. our biggest problem and running joke is that our rear strut towers love to rot away.

Gearwrench 84 tooth is the strongest 1/2 ratchet Ive had yet Ive beat on it with a 8 lb hammer to loosen shit up for 3 years now and its still holding on fr
I like the Hawkeye the most. Some people don’t know this but they where designed with accents to portray Subarus past as nakujima aircraft company and that’s why it has that center grille that looks vaguely like a jet intake.

For the plate in the windshield thing, in some states its legal to have the plate in the windshield instead of on the front and cops wont pull you over for it.
I think the main difference between a sun an moon roof is that a moon roof slides between the headliner and the roof of a car. They *can* both be glass but, moonroofs are exclusively glass whereas a sunroof is sometimes metal and only pops up. 5th gen Prelude typically has a sunroof, as an example.
@@likenem never mind I thought you where talking about the years before. I’m familiar with the Saab rebadge just haven’t seen one in almost 10 years. I though they looked a lot cleaner when it came to body lines.
I miss my Baja turbo 5mt😢 She’s one of few cars that got away….. damn I hate not having enough space for all my cars….about to have to sell my sts v soon if I can’t find a free/cheap place to keep her at….
In CO it's legal to run the windshield plate (front plate required by law) as long as your bumper isn't pre-drilled for a plate. But cringe people will run their plate up there with egregious, giant holes in the bumper.
Oh hey, a tune by Travis! I worked with him a bit. Best tuner on the West Coast... ...but that doesn't mean the rest of the car isn't junk 😂 Every time some ratted up Bugeye rolled in for a tune it was a nightmare.
Best way to buy a WRX. Buy an Impreza so you have shell that was most likely taken care of, and then swap parts from a WRX into that. You have a something better than a WRX when it's done a Subaru with out the WRX baggage but with all the WRX performance.

Tried convincing my parents for an 05 WRX wagon, but they weren’t going for it. Ended up with a legacy GT wagon with a 5 speed.
Arguably more based than the wrx Imo.
Fuck yea dude!! What year legacy?? And don't be mad about it the legacy is sick and has a way better community than the wrx/sti. You got an Instagram for it??
Way better than a WRX
Based manual legacy purchase. Treat it well
sad news everyone, i am answering on his behalf, his motor blew because they thought it was ok to keep banging off redline like a honda.

I prefer the wagons, love to see this combo have him back sometime!! My two favorite car channels in one sandwich.
8:17 "Vacuum Leak". How in the world does he know that just by listening?
Probably because the idle was chopping like a v8 with a cam lol
Subarus shouldn't idle like that...
I almost had one of these as my first car solely because need for speed and its got 4 doors.
