The Prophet (s.a.w.) said: “That which is lawful (halal) is clear and that which is unlawful (haram) is clear and between the two of them are ambiguous matters (mashbuh) about which not many people are knowledgeable. Thus, he who avoids these doubtful matters certainly clears himself in regard to his religion and his honour. But he who falls into the doubtful matters falls into that which is unlawful, like the shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but grazing there in….” (Bukhari)

I read your comment carefully you wrote " even prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h. prohibits us from making innovations...."
Your argument for not celebrating the Mawlid is weak and through your lack of understanding and ignorance you twist the real meaning and insert your own bias opinion you need to know what is the meaning of Bid'ah before you accuse others.. Let me explain. When our Beloved Prophet SAW talked about making innovation what he meant was innovations that contradict the Quran and the Sunnah, otherwise any innovation that would benefit Islam is allowed. You cannot freeze Islamic nation in history with your illogical bid'ah argument. Good innovations introduced by sahabas were allowed and is also allowed today.the arrival of our beloved prophet SAW is the greatest bounty and as a mercy for all creations. You asked for one authentic proof for the celebration of the Mawlid.
Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h. himself celebrated it by fasting on mondays.

I normally do not argue about this topic as it can’t be any clearer in my mind that the celebration of the birth of the Prophet Mohamed PSL is a great sign of devotion. If we admit that ALL Muslims celebrate Leylatoul Qadr (the “birth” of the Quran), who can logically and rationally argue about “Him to whom that Quran was revealed to”.
The speaker unfortunately is willing fully ignorant and/or intellectually dishonest in his presentation, either of which discredits his presentation. The historical premise of his speech attributing the celebration of Mawloud to a so called longing of the Muslims to mimic Christmas is discredited by his own admission (although he tried to diminish its importance) ; he said “ that the Prophet Mohamed was fasting on Monday, why because it is the day He was Born”. There is no doubt that fasting is one of the pillar in Islam and one of the most “celebratory” deed in Islam. Further to argue that because “Allah hid the day the Prophet was born” so that we won’t celebrate his birth is simply misguided at best or simply ignorant for Allah hid the night of Laylatoul Qadr. Yes there is no consensus in the Muslim Umma on the actual night of Leylatoul Qadr (although most agreed it is in the last 10 nights of Ramadan), yet that mere fact doesn’t preclude us for seeking its blessings…. Equally the discord within the Ummah on the actual birth of the Beloved Prophet will not stop us for seeking its blessings.
The desire to reduce the Prophet Mohamed PSL to another mere Prophet is beyond comprehension, he even said that “the Prophet cannot do nothing for us”… Bukhari narrates in the authentic intercession hadith when asked about His intercession on the day of Judgment when all the other Prophets were consumed by their own faults, Allah told Mohmaed PSL , ‘o, muhammad, raise your head and speak, for you will be listened to, and ask, for you will be granted (your request); and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted.’ i will say, ‘o lord, my ummah!' then he will say, ‘'go and take out from Hell fire (all those) in whose hearts there is faith even to the lightest, lightest mustard seed. (take them) out of the fire.’ i will go and do so."' .
May we be among those who believe that Mohamed Rassoulilahi can do Many for US…
When one wishes to denigrate the Prophet… I choose to chant and praise him in the words of Bushairi:
He is the beloved whose intercession is hoped for
As arms against a host of relentless calamities. He called on God. Whoever clings to him
Clings to a rope that will never unravel nor break. He is the one whose meaning and form were perfected,
And then the Originator of souls chose him as the beloved.

To all muslims,i think this is a problem which has no solution
So it's better to ignore it like
Is it part of following prophet saw way if everyone is abusing, arguing, making others hatred....?
    I dont think so
So to all who celebrate prophet bday then carry on bcoz ur answerable to allah not to theh scholars
He is the owner of our deen,he knows the best....
To all who abstain from it ..fine you'll are afraid and confused so you have ans infront of allah
    Remember....
We are born alone and will die alone
We are alone in our grave
We are alone infront of allah
In my opinion im one who trying to abstain from this....
Prophet told us to follow his paths rather than celebrating his bday
Its our duty to send greetings to prophet and remembering him and bring him each of iur situation in our daily life.....
Im abstaining bcoz it's my wish
I dont abuse people who do that nor disrespect....
So its important for us to respect others
Thats what our prophet teaches us...
May allah bless us with goodness and give us the level of understanding....
Celebrating bday or abstaining from it doesn't derive our love to prophet....

In other words don't copy the chrsitians!
What do the christians do? They celebrate Jesus's *birthday* as remembrance. You muslims have followed the same path! Celebrating the prophets *birthday* Putting up lights top to bottom of your houses. I can't even tell which is christian and muslim houses anymore.
Ponder over the words of allah and understand. Don't ignore this quranic verse.
      Surah al khaf
*103.Say, [O Muhammad], "Shall we [believers] inform you of the greatest losers as to [their] deeds?*
      104. "Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life, *while they thought that they were acquiring good by their works?"*
      105. They are those who deny the Signs of their Lord and the fact of their having to meet Him (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works, nor shall We, on the Day of Judgment, give them any weight.
      106. That is their reward, Hell, because they rejected Faith, and took My Signs and *My Messengers by way of jest.*
      Tafsir ibn kathir.
Al-Bukhari recorded from `Amr that Mus`ab who said: "I asked my father -- meaning Sa`d bin Abi Waqqas -- about Allah's saying,
*(Say: "Shall We tell you the greatest losers in respect of (their) deeds'')*
the Ayah is general and refers to everyone who worships Allah in a way that is not acceptable, thinking that he is right in doing that and that his deeds will be accepted, but he is mistaken and his deeds will be rejected, as Allah says:
And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust.) ﴿25:23

    My Brother!
Tell me where in the Qur'an or in the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ has ever told that Celebrating Maulid is prohibited??
Or if you "claim" that Celebrating is never mentioned in any of the Sources hence we should not do.
    Then...
    1) Doing online Da'wah without the mutual presence of another
    2) Preaching Islam in Non Islamic Language (English)
    3) Flying in an aeroplane
    4) Reading Noble Quran in a form that is not in book form (tabs and Ipad)
    5) Using electricity
    6) Using loud speakers, cameras, mobile phones etc
    7) Taking photographs
    8) Using the modern transport by buying fuel
    9) Doing banking system
    10) Doing business online (buying and selling)
    The list never ends.....
Has any of the above ever been practised or told to be practised by Our Beloved Prophet ﷺ or His Companions???
Just like you said: "Every Innovation is Haram" (misinteprating a Sahih Hadith though) then why you do the above?
Answer me if you really think you can!!
I have more than enough Proofs with the little Knowledge that Allah has bestowed to prove that Celebrating is PERMITTED... BUT only if you dare to answer for my question!!
May Allah guide us to the straight path!

We are not sure if he was born that day so why celebrate it.

      @@mahamedjmal2536 Hi Brother!
You have still NOT answered my question.
All you still say is since the Prophet ﷺ or the companions have not celebrated why should we celebrate. Then all I am asking is has the Prophet ﷺ or His companions ever done any of the above and how could it be permitted when celebrating Maulid of the Greatest Human being as Mark of thanksgiving is not!!
Or if you say according to the Hadith that anything that is lawful (Halal) and clear is permitted, then how is that clear to do the above 10 examples I have given? On what basis you define them as clearly lawful? Because it was never practised during that Blessed period of time but rather after many centuries only it became to exist.
Btw when we say Celebrating the Maulid Un Nabi ﷺ , we are not celebrating according how the Christians celebrate with cutting cakes and lighting candals, all we do is recite the Noble Quran, say Salawath upon the Prophet ﷺ, make supplications, give charity, help the poor and needy and share the good spirit of Islam among all by being thankful for all the blessings we have showered with by Allah and the mercy of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ by being a follower of him ﷺ!

      As Salam Alaykum
First of all we have to define bid'ah
Which is newly invented matters in RELGION that have no basis in the Quran or the Sunnah.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stated repeatedly that: "Every newly-invented thing is a bid'ah, every bid'ah is a going astray, and every going astray will be in the Fire." (Reported by al-Nisaa'i in al-Sunan, Salaat al-'Eedayn, Baab kayfa al-Khutbah).
When you talk about using wordly things as tools to promote Islam that is not Bid'ah because Allah SWT in the Quran says "And He has subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth - all from Him. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought." 45:13
So we are allowed to use resources that Allah swt has blessed us with.
The point of using tabs and ipads is not something that is bid'ah because it is another medium from which you read the Quran. The Quran was originally revealed to the Prophet SAW and he conveyed it to the Sahaba through oral transmition. The book was formed during the Caliphate of Abu Bakr RA. So again that is just using different resources.
And when it comes to the fact that mawlid somehow means devotion, the Sahaba did not celebrate mawlid so are you saying they were less devoted to the Prophet SAW than the people today? No, instead of creating such innovations they acted upon the Quran and Sunnah which is the utmost form of devotion unlike the people today who celebrate the mawlid and then lie and cheat at the same time.
May Allah SWT guide us and rectify us.
      Hope that answers your question.
      Jazak'Allahu khair.

Everything is a innovation when it suits their agenda. When the saudi celebrate the queens birthday we dont see this same scholars making a fuss about it. When the saudis killed innocent yemeni we dont see them crying against it when clearly it is wrong to kill innocent victims in war and call it collateral damage. Now currently when the prince is known for purchasing the footbal club manchester united we dont see this same scholars advising him that the $ can be put to better use. No doubt some people will bring it to the extreme on the mawlid but still it doesnt make you the judge of them and try to start speaking against the saudis and their atrocities before this because we know where you get your salary from. Wahabism is reportedly need billions of dollars to spread it. Why must Allah religion be propagated with billions of dollars? And when you claim that you are on the right path thn you dont even need a single cent to spread it. Like how the religion was spread without any material things like dollars.

Dr.Bilal please dont misguide people like the few other preachers whom I noticed quoting against the topic Birthday Celebrations of our much beloved Prophet Muhammad Pbuh .
ALLAH Swt in the Al Quran reveals that ALLAH himself with his Angels say Salawath and Salaam on Prophet Muhammad Pbuh, this also a way of praising the Prophet, and again in that same verse ALLAH says to the people you also recite Salawath and Salams on the Prophet as many times you can.
Another instance is, if we can celebrate birthday of a family member or a friend , with several more examples which could be quoted in detail.
I think after this type of quotes, the Muslims worldwide are getting suppressed and weakened globally.

First of all plz read the history of Birthday celebration and think properly after that, AllahTaalla give hidayat to all of us
Birthday celebration was started with the Egyptians.
Scholars who study the Bible say that the earliest mention of a birthday was around 3,000 B.C.E. and was in reference to a Pharaoh’s birthday. But further study implies that this was not their birth into the world, but their “birth” as a god.
When Egyptian pharaohs were crowned in ancient Egypt, they were considered to have transformed into gods. This was a moment in their lives that became more important than even their physical birth.
Pagans, such as the ancient Greeks, believed that each person had a spirit that was present on the day of his or her birth. This spirit kept watch and had a mystic relation with the god on whose birthday that particular individual was born.
      3. You can thank Greeks for all those birthday candles.
Gods and goddesses were a huge part of Greek culture. Greeks offered many tributes and sacrifices to appease these gods. The lunar goddess, Artemis, was no different.
As a tribute to her, the Greeks would offer up moon-shaped cakes adorned with lit candles to recreate the glowing radiance of the moon and Artemis’ perceived beauty. The candles also symbolized the sending of a signal or prayer. Blowing out the candles with a wish is another way of sending that message to the gods.
      4. Birthdays first started as a form of protection.
It is assumed that the Greeks adopted the Egyptian tradition of celebrating the “birth” of a god. They, like many other pagan cultures, thought that days of major change, such as these “birth” days, welcomed evil spirits. They lit candles in response to these spirits almost as if they represented a light in the darkness. This implies that birthday celebrations started as a form of protection.
In addition to candles, friends and family would gather around the birthday person and protect them from harm with good cheers, thoughts, and wishes. They would give gifts to bring even more good cheer that would ward off evil spirits. Noisemakers were also used to scare away the unwanted evil.
      5. The ancient Romans were the first to celebrate the birth of the common “man.”
This seems to be the first time in history where a civilization celebrated the birth of non-religious figures. Regular Roman citizens would celebrate the birthdays of their friends and family members. The government, however, created public holidays in honor of more famous citizens.
Any Roman turning 50 years old would receive a special cake baked with wheat flour, olive oil, grated cheese, and honey. But an important thing to note is that only men would experience this birthday celebration. Female birthdays were not celebrated until about the 12th century.
      6. Birthdays were first considered to be a pagan ritual in Christian culture.
In Christianity, it is believed that all people are born with “original sin.” That, in combination with early birthdays being tied to pagan gods, led Christians to consider birthdays to be celebrations of evil. This lasted for the first few hundred years of the existence of the Christian Church.
It wasn’t until the 4th century that Christians abandoned that way of thinking and began celebrating the birth of Jesus, also know as Christmas. Celebrating the birth of Jesus was partly enacted to recruit those who already celebrated Saturnalia, the Roman holiday.
History of birthday celebration is full of Shirk Aqeeda so we must avoid it
