From JAPAN They release a new song "Different" on December 2nd
Thank you for Reaction Band-Maid. They are hard rock band and are now considered by fans to be one of the best hard rock bands in the world. They usually perform 23 songs and 2 hours live. They were formed in Japan in 2013 by side guitarist Miku Kobato. Kobato had experience working at a maid cafe in Akihabara Tokyo and had the idea of playing hard rock in a maid costume. That's why the band was named Band-Maid. "Thrill" was their first music video in 2014, played 2 million times in two weeks and saved them from breaking up. At that time they were just around 20-23 years old. And then they have been doing LIVE overseas and increasing their fans. Now they are writing, composing and arranging all the songs. 31 songs have been released on their official RUclips, all of which are killer songs.
Band-Maid's online full live has been announced. From 16:00 on December 13th (Japan time). The new song "Different" will also be performed. Full scale live is probably about 2 hours. l-tike.zaiko.io/e/bandmaid1213

BAND MAID calls it THE GAP! there's a gap between how someone appears and what they do, it draws attention. Some people find it attractive. Miku has said that was what she was going for.
Miku used to work at a cafe that dressed up as French Maids. She took the idea and created this band. She writes the lyrics to Kanami (lead guitar) music. As for the costumes - Angus Young wore a school boy uniform his entire career with AC/DC. The costume does not have to be in line with the song or the bands sound. The fact that they can play as well as this and still be having fun doing it and not have to resort to Lingerie to sell the sex side of their femininity.
The pigeon hole
Miku (rhythm guitar, lyrics, spokes-pigeon) after working in a Maid Cafe decide she wanted to create a band that wore Maid Outfits and played "cool" music. This is called "the Gap" in Japan, meaning the difference in what you are seeing "demure maids" vs what you are hearing Hard Rock.
They played 4 sold-out concerts last year in the US, NYC, Dallas and LA. We (their fans) are anxiously waiting for their next US tour.

Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. Band-Maid is a phenomenal Hard Rock band. They play heavy with some metal influence but very catchy hooks and chorus. Very talented group of Ladies that performs excellent live. Check out more of their live performance such as "Domination", "Freedom", "onset". They also have a new song released just last week called "Different". That one is very fast-paced. Might or might not suit your taste but you be the judged of that. Awesome first time react 👍

Miku Kobato, who wears a red flower in her hair, got the idea for the band while working in a "maid cafe". The idea is to have a "gap" between the image they project and the music they play. Although they do play some softer, pretty songs, most of their stuff is hard rock.

Band Maid is one of the best rock and roll bands that exist right now. They are all the best at their individual instruments. The bassist (Misa) is incredible. Check out Domination live for some bass and guitar solos. Kanami on the lead guitar is fucking Eddie Van Halen. She is incredible. The drummer (Akane) kills it on the drums in every song. Check out Freedom live. Miku (rythm guitar) is the glue that holds the band together and Saiki (singer) has an incredible song. Also check out Non Fiction DAys music video and Dice music video

Anything live. Band Maid is the best rock band on the planet right now. Some other all female bands: Aldious, Mary's Blood, Scandal. There are more and the ones I've listed are all Japanese.
First,hard rock not metal... They formed in 2013,releasing their first video,THRILL,in 2014. Can't go wrong on any of their songs. I've created a playlist with 29 songs,so far,on my smart phone so I can listen in my car,as well. DICE and FREEDOM are great to start with. You are going to be blown away by Band-Maid.

They are absolute monsters. The writing Kanami (guitarist who writes all of the music and usually the lyrics)1 brings is awesome, Akane (drums) is a gorilla on the drums and Misa (bassist)always kills it on base. I've seen literally one band I find as good as Bandmaid (in somewhat of a different way but... not) and that's Clutch. Obviously Saiki (lead singer) have an amazing voice an Miku (rhythym guitarist/singer) does so much more for the band that we don't see plus the energy she brings that it's crazy. They are aliens that came to this planet to put rock 'n roll back on the right track.
