From what I remember with government budgeting, a request/projected budget is needed for funding and this takes around a year to generate. How do you operate this machines? Supplemental budget again?
We definitely need more supersonic jets. Having 36 should be enough for deterrence.. Our air force have done their homework to come up with the decision to purchase FA-50 Golden Eagle Fighter Jets. Congratulations to them. Those who are against should be checking the capability of FA-50. It may not be comparable to F-35 or TU-22 raptor but definitely could be used to for aerial combat and attack on enemy position to drop bombs, etc.

It is such a shame the the arms manufacturers around the world are able to convince everyone that they need more weapons. China has hundreds of fighter jets so a few in the Philippines will not do anything. There are families in the Philippines who can't afford rice for their children yet billions are being spent on fighter jets. If the world cut 20% of arms spending, they would wipe out hunger but instead, we keep being told to buy more, just to be safe. It's madness.

Sounds of cannons etc. We dont want war but we also don't want to be bullied by other nations since we cannot defend ourselves. In my province those people who cant defend themselves will be taken advantage or bullied by those who are armed. But if you show them that you will fight back they will hesitate. I grew up from a poor family but we did not depend on others to survive.
