You are so right. Nordic is king. I did everything and still kept pulling them. Was at 405 for Reps on RDL, but still pulled them. Started Nordics, and I never pulled them again.
I've not had many problems with my hamstring in the lower area but I've had problems in the upper area or what many refer to as proximal hamstring issues. It's where the tendon for the hamstrings attach to the ischial tuberosity that had given me problems if I sprint or deadlift heavy. This is an injury that frustrates many. Do you have any particular insight into this issue?
I've been having groin issues for 2 years now. Could it be compensation for weak hamstrings and/or weak hip flexors? Many would appreciate a video on fixing a pulled groin.
I tore my left hamstring last Sunday for the first time in my life in my late 40s. I'm in the best shape I've ever been in in my life kickboxing/jiu jitsu, but I decided to do sprints (never have ran that fast in my life like 4-4-40 territory speed and was on my 10th or so sprint) and tore it - heard a pop through my earbuds. I'm worried to ever sprint again. I will certainly be stretching before if I do. When should you stop ever sprinting again? 50 yrs old? 60?

For the nordics, just stick for feet under something heavy. I have a couch with about 4 inches ground clearance that I wedge my feet in dorsiflex and it works well.

If strength/RFD is your only concern, you could lower the frequency to twice a week (ideally, 2 days on which you are "fresh"/well-rested) and do something like 2-3 sets of 4-8 weighted reps. Start with something like 5 lbs, experiment with it and add more weight when you can easily go above 8 reps.
Pretty late to this but you could also do it 5x5 EMOM. EMOM standing for every minute on minute. So you basically do the Nordics in one minute and the time left you have after finishing is your rest time. Only takes 5 mins to do
I once pulled my hamstrings without knowing anything about hamstrings and heard a pop sound, i felt blood going up and down inside my leg and though it was normal
Im telling you, strengthen hip flexor! Its the muscle that lifts legs up. Too much time is spent strengthening hamstrings to over compensate for all leg activity. Took me a decade to figure it out. Also quads, core, and lower back! Its a game changer for me.
I ain’t gonna lie kneesovertoesguy made this exercise famous. Now it’s on all the fitness channels. I’m not saying he pioneered it, but definitely endorsed this exercise. It was super slept on not anymore tho
Another quality video. Well done. I noted in the Kettlebell snatch you used the hand on the same side as the leg that came thru. What's your thought on the opposite side? So it's in the hand above the support leg. I'm thinking you get the torsion across the body the same as sprinting. As it opposite hand opposite foot.
Hamstrings have been missing from my programme all this time. I was going to start with RDLs, you've changed my mind. Nordic curl for me, maybe leg curl machine also

Okay, your razor curls make much more sense doing them that way with the machine. All I've ever seen anybody do on it is more of your Nordic curls next time I'm around one of those machines I'll have to try it that way.
