Whoever says that Todd Terry is the worst Dj ever, don't know shit from shinola went it comes to house music djing, or for djing in general. Todd Terry is the Afrika Bambaataa of house music Djs! He wasn't the first house dj, but he implemented samples and hooks from rap, freestyle, old skool disco and disco breaks records like no one else. An innovator of the 1200's! Royal House, Black Riot, The Project. Can't anybody touch House music King, Todd Terry.
I think you are getting djing confused with producing Albert . As a producer Todd Terry was absolute quality and his sound was stand alone . As for Djing , yeah he was good , but not top drawer , no way
Someone spouting crap like that shouldn't worry you. Its what keeps you in a different, better tent or room where they are posing and getting bored, meanwhile you are in the other place jackin like a hammer in an Indian scrapyard.
TODD TERRY FANS STAN UP, HIM, DAVID MORALES,LITTLE LOUIE VEGA N TONY HUMPHRIES R KINGS OF HOUSE MUSIC, U HAVE TO GIVE THEM THEIR PROPS THEY WILL MAKE A PARTY PARTYABLE THEY WILL MAKE UR BODY MOVE WAYS U THINK U NEVER DID BEFORE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Being a teenager in the 80s awesome! Growing up with this style of music and this man was always at the forefront house music. Now in my 50s I still love listening to music from back in the day. Besty is in our lives !! 😀👍🏽😎
Absolutely I was a teenager myself in the 80's when i first heard of Todd Terry on Key 103 with Stu Allan and I loved it and still do and i'm 56 now sadly Stu is no longer with us but his legacy lives on. House music all night long😁👌
TODD TERRY WAS,IS WILL ALWAYS BE ONE OF THE GREATEST HOUSE DEE.JAYS/PRODUCERS/REMIXERS IN THE WORLD....BEEN FOLLOWING HIM SINCE HE FIRST STARTED IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY AND FOR THOSE WHO DONT KNOW...HE HAS PRODUCED MANY CLUB/FREESTYLE RECORDS FOR MANY ARTISTS AS WELL.THATS WHY THOSE OF US WHO KNOW HIS HISTORY CALL HIM ''TODD THE GOD TERRY''MUCH RESPECT TO THE GODD NAMED TODD!!!!!!
This man helped shaped the genre known as House music. He was there from the beginning circa 1986. In House music terms he is one of the 12 disciples. 80% of the tracks played in this set are his. Need anybody say any-more? 136K hits for an artist of his stature is a disgrace, compared to the hits Calvin Harris gets for pulp like Summer.
This Dj nuked my grey matter since the inception of House Music culture...no.#1 ranked in my opinion..im still stuck on 'Bango' and 'I wanna go bangg'...his style is unparalleled, hypnotic and sensual too....he haunted the underground scene w/ his defined version of house...
Falar o que de um camarada deste, simplesmente APAVORA!!! Aqui no Brasil temos uma admiração muito grande pela carreira brilhantes do DJ e Produtor TODDY TERRY!!!
Like this? You'll probably like these... Skream & Derrick Carter bumpin' house sets in Mixmag's Lab The Martinez Brothers exclusive live Mixmag house mix DAVID MORALES house masterclass in The Mixmag Lab House originators Crazy P (DJ Set) and DJ Pierre in Mixmag's Lab
Todd was God when he ran Freeze records and TNT. The amount of banging stuff that came out on that label was brilliant. To venture into Todd´s discography is a long road into many directions. Allready back in the 90´s he was probably the only DJ that could play a 3 hour set using ONLY his productions.
Amen.i just dont think they get it..its not about bouncy wacky sounds and being trendy..its about that groove..that beat that makes u lose yourself and move to.the music..to aoki and friends its about the audience staring at the stage like its a rock concert..and trying hard to make them jump up and down. And thats why these ppl fade into the dust as the years go by but legends like todd terry are still appreciated.
Thats true.the only way things survive is through change.just like house music comes from disco..but isnt disco.so good point. I just think its changed into something stale.but that doesnt mean it wont be great again in the future.
Todd Terry a House producer from NY. While most NY producers back in the day made Garage House, Todd’s angle was Freestyle. He was the main Freestyle House representative. Some of his later remixes became legendary. But never forget his old stuff.
Todd Terry the man. Great memories from late 80's. ANYONE!!! I need the name of the mix he did with Lil Louis French Kiss w/Sax I believe @26:30. Thanks!!!

He is a beast I remember him from Bango and many more hits he made . Although he is a vet and by all means I dont mean any disrespect to anyone . But to call him one of the orginal 12 disciples of house . I have to disagree there were many more that shaped house before him I can give him a top 20 though
+rene janissen that's a link for a recommended video, it's just on a black rectangle thus looking like it's part of the vid... this is Todd Terry playing for realio.
I think the tracklisting is a off a bit.. At 26:28 comes in a version of "My House (In the beginning there was jack" I was wondering if anyone knew which version that is, Many Thanks..;)
A legend. I like his remix of "Close to me" by Kristine W. @21:36. Not really a classic but has a lot of classic vibes in it :-) Would have prefered to see him spin the vinyls.

Some lads like Todd know where the DJs talent lies, and doesn't attempt to shy away from it. These are the kind of sets that bring you on a journey.

Benjamin Cohen you're absolutely right
This is what happens when commercialism takes over . It's trendy to like commercial bullshit . Eric Prydz & wank like that
The likes of Mark Ronson, Calvin Harris owe a lot to this guy.
This is a boring set though even he looks bored
I concurr....year or 2 off but..100% agree.

That's because it's not the same music genre at all. Completely different. And I agree.
