The Jacob Collier audience choir sounds fantastic; it's an instant vibe for easy choirs.
Yeah, I agree...its easy to use for sure - simple.
The audience choir is sooo good I find making chords very easy😀
👏🏻👍🏻🙏🏻
I use my fingers to make chords - be it on a guitar or on keys.
Practicing scales, arpeggios and inversions helps. Also playing around with the process.
I’ve been playing with this choir instrument for 2 days, and it is FUN! I’m especially using the stomp and snap a lot. They did such a great job with it. As far as chords - I don’t know how to play (I do everything by ear,) so I usually throw my Minilab 3 into chord mode to create them.
I’ve been in some of his choirs and they are always some of the most insane parts of his already incredible shows.
For chords, I just pick up my guitar and mess about until I find a progression I like
Can you share some tips on how to transfer chords to a piano keyboard? I'm using Capo often, and I do not know music theory.
@@Sashik the markings on the guitar are really helpful. Learning the notes on the marked frets makes it a lot easier to count the two or three extra. Then you simply count the notes to put into the piano roll
Thank you Sanjay, juts tested the Music FX and i just played around like 1 Hour or so, Haha and got already 10 new Song ideas.
I love it, will use way to more often i originally thought about. Crazy mindblown stuff.
Nice!! So glad its sparking inspiration!
Chords, I usually start with the root, triad then extended and invert. I usually try and find one note to hold on the top at thre start of each chords for an extra link and tensions
Hi there Sanjay. I like to use the multinote device in bitwig and I can set the key filter to set in the key like C minor or any other. I also use Scaler 2, but most of the time I just go with pretty simple chords I know, some inversions, etc. Also please review bloom drum breaks which is a really nice drum plugin that generates grooves.
Used the Audience Choir on 5 tracks already. Genius!
I write my chords the old-fashioned way and I particularly like using chord substitutions.
Audience choir is incredible! Thanks for the freebie. Wish I could meet you in Bangalore. Have fun while you are there!
i sometimes look up fun chord progressions on the internet or play a chord progression that i came up with on my keys
I have every plug-in under the sun - Scaler, Forager, Harvest, Captain Chords, and more - but none of them really help when I have something I'm not a good enough pianist to just play in. For stuff I _am_ good enough to play, just playing it in is usually better because there's no tool that can replicate the touch and feel of just playing it in. If I played more often I'd get better but, y'know.
From producer to producer who also has all the plug-ins you mentions. I understand your frustration. It’s take time aways trying to put together a song. This is what I did. In 2022 I purchase a Yamaha DGX 670. Shit down the studio and practiced on the piano 15-20 mins a day. Just chords and scales. Not even playing songs. Let’s just say two years later, i am playing Jazz, Classical, and improve. It’s all natural now. I still have more music theory to practice but practicing the piano 15 mins a day has improved finger dexterity. I can pretty much hit the MPC pad like Arrab music and the greats. Here is the bonus, i came back to the Lab and have not lost memory of my plugins or my software. I go on and start where left off. Its worth it.
I use scaler, chords sets in machine and progressions in mpc, chord track in studio one, captain epic
Don't know much about music theory, I use the Arturia Keystep37 to make chords, even though I own Scaler 2
I can play keys but I like using scaler too it helps.
I am excited for Live 12
QOTW: I know my music theory and I have basic keyboard and guitar skills. But I have also used Hooktheory to help me develop harmonic sequences. As I use Cubase, I know they have tools. But I also have a few other tools like Scaler and what Audiomodern, Mixed in Key and WA Production have.
Hooktheory...wow I need to try that. Thanks for sharing, Derek!
new studio monitor?
I don't know overall how USEFUL it will be, but it is FUN! Get it just for the sheer enjoyment. If you can actually use it, all the better. But it's a joy just to fool around in.
Very cool instrument by Jacob!
Thanks for the Super Thanks, AceeSoul!
I do all of it, sometimes I create the chords from scratch, sometimes I use scaler or other tools like the FL scale Highlighter. I also do It in my head and hum the notes to build the chord 😂 no music theory at that level yet, just a decent ear for it 😂
Sample is inspiring..👍🏾
Thanks!
I can’t believe audience choir is totally free, it sounds amazing
I’m on scaler 2. I know it’s so much more powerful than I’m able to use it. Still working on getting better at theory all the time tho, currently dog water. Would love a video on the topic!
For the choir, I follow directions, it appeared as new in my Kontakt player downloader, I download, and it shows it as a demo. Anybody else experiencing the same thing?
I use Scaler but my ears and straight forward theory i seem to work out better.
Looking forward to the Bangalore meetup SanjayC! Will keep an eye on your instagram for venue ❤
I am a huge Scaler fan. You should try it Sanjay
I use Scaler...but probably not enough

I've been to Mangalore multiple times....cool airport!
@@SanjayC Nice 😊
I'm more toward the "music theory guy" type but I also tried using Scaler equivalents (and by my personal experience it's not a satisfying one)
🎉🙌🏽 That was so incredible how he engaged with the audience! Wow!!!🤯
