Johnny Lowe No dude we should give Jackie just as much credit for mma as Bruce cause he is definitly as skillfull as Lee was and took the kung fu to Another level with more advanced kicking,movements and fights..The parkour,his stunts and Comedy is just an bonus.
I don't want to start an argument, but Jackie Chan learned kung fu and tricks from the chinese opera and never trained in MMA. He is an outstanding martial artist, my hero, and deserves lots of martial arts skill credit. At the same time he never trained in MMA and being a great fighter like Mr. Lee did. He trained in stage work since he was 5. Read Mr.Chan's autobiography it's a great book.

Jackie trained in kung fu and real fighting and self defense at the Peking Opera School for the purpose of the show. His training was torchure because he had to be able to do perfect handstands, flips and full splits with zero tolerance from the Master. At the same time he was learning kung fu. Yes, his kung fu is real and amazing but that was on the side of his career as a stuntman. Bruce Lee trained to be the worlds best fighter and became that (In my opinion) Jackie wanted to be a TV action star and movie director, his dream was movie making from when he was a kid. He learned amazing kung fu but his goal wasn't to be a great fighter but to be a famous action star.

Little known fact about Bruce Lee. He won a boxing tournament in 1958. A lot of people think he never fought in anything but street altercations.
+Andre Caillot he was encouraged to enter the boxing tournament in Hong Kong by a Catholic 'brother' teacher who was the school boxing coach. BL had never put on a boxing glove prior. But he won the prelims and then beat the two time champion, a British boy Gary Elms. In the same year he also won the Cha Cha championship. Witnesses of later years said that on the dance floor he could do a complete 180 degree split, then slowly raise himself up. As you know, many western boxing champs have been good dancers, too. and/or are musical. Like Sugar Ray Robinson said that he would rather do music than box, if he had the choice.
Some people say Jackie Chan was being humble, but honestly, he was just being truthful. Many people don't realize that Bruce Lee was a legitimate Kungfu champion that beat everyone in Asia in all forms of martial arts before he became an action movie star. Bruce Lee was a legend.
That doesn't even fill his resume by being a streetfighting hoodlum in the streets of China. And being challenged in the US at parking lots by some bullies from his own community to see if he was "real". Bruce lee seen & done it all.

I find it interesting that the only people who bad mouth Bruce Lee are always the celebrities or people in general that have never trained or fought/sparred or anything with Lee, but the people who have sparred/fought and trained with Lee have nothing but praise and amazement for his skills, techniques and fighting ability's.
Because they know what it was like to train or even get a glimpse of the great Bruce Lee. People who trash him cannot even be compared to Bruce's toes.

Tyson is bigger and has harder punches, whereas Bruce Lee is faster and has a wider arsenal, from punches and kicks to grapples and strangles. If they faced-off, Tyson would struggle to land a hook on Lee, whereas Lee would keep kicking him on the legs (a boxer's weak point), before grappling him to the ground and strangling him on the floor, just like Lee did against his huge student Kareem Abdul Jabbar in Game of Death. Lee beats Tyson.
