They have £100 a month from me for the last 40 years and my family before me, I wish I could donate more because they deserve so much more in honor of my Country and MEN that have fallen for my country

wow, that feeling must be awesome. To know that you are part of the elite soldiers of the British army like your ancestors, that the enemies shit in their pants just by hearing the name Gurkha and that you will die with honor and respect. If you survive the service, you will return to you home and still be respected and honored.

A gyarmatosítás kétségkívűl jobban megéri és másokból élni, mint Szentkorona Országot építgetni. From Hungary.

u can also try recruiting us filipinos nd we will assure that we can fight as fierce as them as what we did to the spaniards when we overthrew them by revolution, how the americans feared our itak(local sword)during the philippine-american war of 1898-1904 and our gallant defence of corregidor and bataan the last forts to fall in japanese hands where we filipinos fought them savagely, and how fiercely our philippine contingent fought under u.n during the korean war of 1950 all our enemies fear us

You can sponsor a Gurkha pensioner by googling 'gurkha welfare trust'.
    From the GWT website:
"The brave and loyal Gurkha fought for our freedom in the Second World War and every major conflict since. For £20 a month, you can help repay our debt of honour to these famously courageous people. Most are now in their 80s and 90s, too old to fight for survival, too proud to beg for charity. A welfare pension is not a handout, it is the least we owe them."

gurkhas should become mercenaries and let their veterans train their young men.
starta a corporation just like blackwater and use the money for the common good of their village.

I agree with you completely i really do think the government should give the gurkhas much better payment and treatment, i heard they are finally doing something about it but as usual its a stupidly slow and long winded process. here is hoping they do keep to there word and that something will be done. after all Never has the trust that was then placed in the Gurkha soldier ever been in doubt
himself to be of the closest friends and bravest of allies that Britain has known. peace out man.

Ofcourse it's always a good thing to try to sponsor the Gurkhas, but what about the British government...are they only exploiting these poor brave people ? There seems to be bitter poverty in Gurkha country...wth ? It's not very fair i think...they should demand more salary and a royal class pension.

yeah its a bit disgusting how my government treats them. most of the actual British people think so as well. also i doubt that the americans could get in on the deal as its roots go back to the british empire when we took over nepal which is why the Indians also have a brigade of gurkhas.

LOL only mostly shepa people live in mountain region. mountains are cold. but the rai limbu magar kirat people who join british army live mostly in hills and plains in nepal. hills and plains are not cold as uk.

Former Chief of staff of the British Indian Army, Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, once famously said about Gurkhas: "If a man says he is not afraid of dying, he is either lying or is a Gurkha."

whilst good intentioned the presenter shows his arrogance of ignorance - even the rejects were dressed well with shoes, jeans and good clothes so the shoelace was not "new technology"

We do, but we also have (had) an empire to draw soldiers from, unlike the Finns, who were struggling to keep their own 70 years ago.
