I remember applying for instructor positions, but Indeed did not recognize the term as a teacher. I would see the listing, but Indeed would put Missing Qualifications even though I was actually over qualified.

ATS should be declared illegal. We cannot use AI on the jobplace to complete daily tasks, but they can use ATS to screen our Resume, it is ridiculous

An ATS is not necessarily AI it existed for a long time. They are multiple forms of them and very few use AI to rank resumes. It’s more of a CRM for applicants.

Thanks a lot for sharing this information. It's extremely useful. I hate all this new hiring taboo mistery where everything has to be ultra perfect for at least being considered to be seen by a pair of human eyes (which unfortunately is just the beginning of a long journey till you get hired). But hey, anything helps, so I'll give it a shot.
    THANKS 👍

Hi Don, follower since you started your fantastic channel, been struggling to find a job, the market seems weird to me right now, with the link you provided, I upload my resume and the web page gave some advise ( I copy/paste to a Word document ) so I can read it carefully and start doing some mods. My resume was written by a professional company on 2020 because my ex employer paid during the pandemic. So I decided to just add my last position and start from there, but this time is not working at all, I am not getting many calls as it was before, the software that they are using is different I guess. So tomorrow I will start modifying my resume with the advice that you suggested. This webpage offers a week of writing consulting for just $ 4.99 for one resume or unlimited resumes for 1 year for $ 75. I will try first the free version and see how it looks like, if not, definitely I will get the $ 4.99 version. Don, you ROCK!!!!!!

    Hi Don
I have a question please, is it a good idea to send a LinkedIn connection request to recruiters after the first job interview? or the second ?
    thanks

Tried the website but when I uploaded a revised resume it wont give another free review it seems. Otherwise it seems like another good site to help manoeuvre though the issues with ATS.

Hello I watch all your videos thanks for sharing. I learned so much. Quick question, I show no videos about this issue. I currently have over 16 years of experience in a field, I don't look my age and people that interview me don't believe me on my experience. I am 38 and look 28. What can I do? Please help. Should I tell them my age so I look more creditable in the interview?. I have a job interview coming up. Thank you so much for helping and thanks for all the good videos.

I am relatively satiafied with my role but not with the compensation and promotion. Can you make new video on assessing new offers and how to check if new employer isnt the same or worse than current one?

I think this is crap. All that ATS is doing is making us all the same applicant with marginal differences, but higher probability of rejection. No one wins in this scenario. Recruters are passing on good employees while crappy employees get lumped into the same pool as good ones. I know that recruiters need a way to sift through hundreds or even thousands of applicants, but there has to be a better way. How could I ever trust the integrity of a resumé if everyone is using the same formula and AI to write it for them. I'm done with online applications. Nothing against you, Don. You've figured out the system and shared your knowledge. I just expect more from an intelligent populous on how to make hiring decisions that make sense.
