back then, as a small kid in Kenya, we had a programme called 'music time' that aired on our national broadcaster. the presenter was one Fred Obachi Machokaa and boy, we wdnt call it a day if this song (plus 'we miss u manelo' and 'i need some money') ddnt play. we wd get dwn and try to do the 'mapantsula' dance too! to date (20somethn yrs later), i still haven't mastered the dance!! these were music that united Africa. i miss those days. much love from Kenya Chicco!! shout out to my SA peeps!

How does listening to old South Africa music put me in a space where I think I’ve grown up in South Africa and I’ve never been to South Africa.

i just realised why we all liked these songs as africans..south africans went through so much and music is the only thing that kept them happy plus kept them close to their roots..so they created wonderful african music

This is the BEST Video I have ever seen with kids in it...the rhythmic dancing and sweet song from the artist is really amazing. Shows that even Kids have real talents.

I used to love and admire this man. His contribution to the South African music industry is immeasurable and thanks to my parents I was exposed to great quality music from a young age (I'm a born free, 1994) but after what his son Longwe did, robbing the nation of our number one goalkeeper Senzo Robert Meyiwa and how they both contradicted themselves on national radio and are yet to be arrested for murder and defeating ends of justice, bo sefane mperekele, I have lost respect for him. Maybe one day justice will prevail for Nzori
