I was born in 97 and didn't start riding till I was 10, I love seeing your videos of where our sport came from and how the machines developed. Excellent work my man
I had one of these, what a great, great bike. It handled like a dream. The only real modification I did was having the suspension revalved, which was a good call.
Yes they didn't need much at all. Very fast & very durable! Ran Maxima 927 w/premium pump gas ..she ripped. Nowadays i ride Yamahas as they best 4-strokes by far. #Maxima
Bought a brand new 93 from the dealership that year..I was 19..put a Bills pipe on it and added one tooth to the rear sprocket.. Raced the 125 C class that year and won a handful of races. What a wonderfull and fun time in my life. What I'd give to go back. Bought a brand new 95 CR 125 the end of 94. Made so many great memories on those two machines. Got a new 01 KX 250 the end of 2000 then met my ex wife a couple years later and sold the bike in 04. What I'd give to have those machines back now. I recently bought a completely rebuilt 2000 YZ 125. 47 years old now. Boy does time fly. I'm having a blast on the YZ now.. have a little track at my house. I'll never sell my Motocross bike again. Want to get a new one in the within next year.
When I first got into motocross 1977 the RM125 was the 125 to have they dominated the local tracks thanx for these videos I'm sure they bring many memories to motocrossers.
I like the 96 or newer Suzuki's when Decoster tried making them like a Honda and Yamaha in 96 seemed to do that as well.Honda's Pro Link seemed to be the way to go because the newer motocross bikes have a similar design. The OG Full Floater was a really cool design.
Loved my '94 SUZUKI RM125. Bought brand new spring '94. Added Pro Circuit pipe/shorty silencer & she ripped. Fastest bike of all my buds 125s. *Only used Maxima 927 in my 2-strokes* . Get 80hrs+ on top end.
I just bought one of these in remarkably good shape and have been researching it alot lately so perfect timing! Thank you love all of these retro videos!
Had this bike. Ran great and handled well. Only thing is you will burn your knee on the pipe in shorts if your not used to riding it. Also they had a ton of sweet nineties graphic kits. Had mine in 98 so it was a few years old but it was mine and I loved it.
Good review TB 🤘 I remember my reaction when I first saw a pic of this bike back then, (in a magazine) I loved it and was glad they went all yellow. CHEERS!
Thanks blaze! I have been watching your vids for about a year now little longer the whole time I have owned a ,93 rm 125 and this vid was a nice surprise thank you sir also two strokes rule and 90s Mx bikes are the holy grail to me thanks man keep it up!!! 93 rm 125 97 ktm 250 exc 04 crf450R
Any chance you could do a review on the 1999-2001 perimeter frame kx125? I had 2 of them. I remember seeing "kawasaki's killer 99's" what an awesome time.
From most wild graphics to most mild remember Guy Cooper getting major hang time on one at coperland ranch back in 1993 he still had a 1992 there that day also the 1992 was a "camel supercross " bike the 1993 was spankin new still had the warning stickers on it
I will be reviewing it in the future. Basically the power was super abrupt and very short in duration and the chassis was a real handful as it was very busy and loose feeling. It unexpectedly put me on my head several times.
these RMs were total garbage.. 91,92, and 93's i can vouch for. i had a 93 and my buddy and his brother had a 91 and 92. the 91 and 92 handled good. i raced both and my 93 was atrocious. way to twitchy and the rims and bolts were made out of butter
I work the service department at a Honda/Yamaha dealership in 1984 I think. The Yamaha’s had these really cheap bolts I would end up breaking or stripping them all the time. The Honda’s had sting heavy duty bolts and never had a problem with those.
I have a 1993 rm125 as an old beater bike with stock rims that are straight as an arrow. The excel rims on my KTM 125 are more beat up than the 28yr old stock Rm rims..in my opinion the stock 93 rm rims are stronger that the aftermarket/newer rims
And everyone who races A or B class is guna get flat slots on the rim no matter the make or model..My 93 rm was never raced an that's why the rims aren't beat up..2020 KTM has warped wheels after 1 season of racing

Thank you!
These bikes remind me of the best days of my life.. Thanks Tony
Right on! God bless ya bro 🙏

Thanks I am glad you enjoyed it.
They were good really all way till 08 when discontinued. Wish I woulda grabbed one that last yr. The 06-08 RM250 was Carmichael inspired .
I had a 1991 RM125. I thought it was a rocket ship. Loved it.
That was a great bike!
@@TheMotocrossVault When it was brand new and crisp, I was suddenly pulling holeshots over year old 250s. The 1991 RM125 really was quick.

He made a better Yamie /Honda 125cc bike all around. Lighter. Quicker. More durable.
Love these reviews. Please keep them coming.

Thank you so much for doing this really appreciate it😀
You are so welcome!
I remember the 1993 KX 125 winning the shootouts that year. At least motocross action I think.
I raced the 1993 RM 80 that year
Never go wrong w/Suzuki. 👌

Yup great bikes still love newer Suzukis! Can't go wrong.

I will be in the future
Kawasaki was always solid. The new ones these days are top notch an ultra fast!
Long Live the RM 125.
Long live the RMs in general, I don't know why Suzuki don't put the Money into making the RM number 1 again?.

I used to own Ezra lusks practice bike after he got rid of it 94 year model sweet bike
Love the Rms, but what where they thinking with the yellow tank, and yellow seat to match.
Suzuki 🤘🏻
Good vidéo 2 strocke power 💪💪💪
Another great review, but why was the 95 RM 250 a death trap ? A review on the 93-95 RM 250s would be great 👍
I will be reviewing it in the future. Basically the power was super abrupt and very short in duration and the chassis was a real handful as it was very busy and loose feeling. It unexpectedly put me on my head several times.
Good video
Could you do a review of the 1990 Rm250
Nice bike
Do a review on a 2007 rm 125
Top speed?
Probably around 70mph
