I’ve never heard this explained. You explained this perfectly. I currently have locs and I struggle on finding products to keep the moisture locked in. I know this will lead me in the right direction. Thank you 🙏🏽 ❤
I needed this info when I first started growing my beard. Hydrating and moisturizing consistently got me right though. Ladies, this information isn’t just for you - if your man grows a beard, share your leave-in with the brother.

@FlourishCurls_Salon I've heard some say that a twist out should last a week before you have to remoistureize. I have to re twist and moisturize every 3 days. Is it something I'm doing wrong?
@@blackcoffee2002 No u aren't doing something wrong. Cosmetic Chemist Tonya Lane (RUclips: Curly Chemistry) said everybody has to moisturize according to their own moisture cycle. Some people have to moisturize every few days versus others.

@@FlourishCurls_Salon Thanks. I gave up grease and been suffering with itching trying to figure out the right product. Do you market your own products for those not in your area to visit? Not sure where your location is.
Thanks for these great tips!! Is it okay to use that moisturizing foam on my 7 year old grandson to lock in his moisture? If not, what would you suggest?
First, the hair education I’ve gotten from you is everything! When I workout I sweat a lot in my hair. Do I need to shampoo or juat rinse every day? Every other day?
My hair loses its hydration/moisture 3 days after a shampoo. Aside from misting with water and adding another layer of leave in, what can I use or is that good enough? -- Luv your videos!
Do you have recommendations on good drugstore shampoos and conditioners? I have type 4 hair and currently use the Aussie Moist line, but even after a fresh wash and condition, I have this tiny little spot of flaky scalp near my hairline, and I’m wondering if I need more hydration. Thanks in advance!
Hi, can you skip conditioner after shampooing and go straight to applying leave-in if the product says it’s possible? I use the As I Am leave-in conditioner bar and it foams/melts into the hair when wet
That was me! Before you shampoo, thoroughly detangle your entire head. I put about 3 small drops of a cheap conditioner into my water bottle, spray each section. Go in first and finger detangle. Next I use a wide tooth comb. Last I use a medium tooth comb to make sure tangles are out. Shampoo, condition and style. I personally deep condition every wash day. I have minimal shedding. I used to have a tangled nest every wash day and would cut plugs of knots out my hair that I could not detangle. Also keep a water bottle handy to spritz as you are styling for hair that dries so quickly. This helped me greatly.
Can you just use water to wash my hair. I only use a moisturizing flaxseed gel and sometimes a leave in spray that’s very moisturizing as well. My hair does not like protein coconut oil butters or any oil for that matter. How can I deal with my sensitive hair. Everything made just about have one or two of those ingredients in it. Or aloe Vera does not like. 😢
Hey I would love for you to do my hair I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I went to a stylish beauty salon in January this year she cut about 6 inches or more of my hair and I haven't been able to get it back on track at all. Please I need your help. I will take the trip. My hair is fine, low porosity and about 3C. I've been natural for about 9 years.
I learn so much from watching your videos! I struggle with my hair webbing at the root after washing. I wash and d.c. weekly, have low porosity hair, and almost always wear 2- strand twists, wet styled or blow dried. Help!
Thanks for the education. Do you recommend shampooing over conditioning? I typically condition my hair for a wash day and shampoo every 4 months. I have kinky thick hair.
How often should I add a cream or water after wash day?. If I wear my twist for two weeks before washing again? Should i even retwist with a cream😢. I retwist every night 😢
No. She's teaching her clients how to maintain their hair properly by teaching them techniques and what products to use and allowing the clients to practice on their on their own hair while they are in her chair so that she can walk them through the process and answer any questions they may have during their visit.
