- None of my friends or family in the U.S know I did this but I went on a dating show in Taiwan. What better way to reveal this secret than through a youtube video (haha). If my friends/family happen to find this...kudos to you. And yes, it's true. I went on a dating show called "Date a Prince" (王子約會）. 26 girls vs. me. Enjoy!

My husband told me that if a girl makes eye contact, smiles and laughs a lot, it makes all the difference for the guy to feel comfortable making the first move (for example, if you guys go to church, school, or are in a group setting together often but have never spent time together one on one).

aaaa we have this show in the uk, i belive its of australian origin, but the uk version was super popular, and they use the same sound effects, although the show seems alot calmer in taiwan, in the uk the host was very loud and his little catchphrase was "NO LIKEY! NO LIGHTY!" i love this shows format and im so glad to see how far it has spread.

Never was a serious dating show. So most treated it that way (to get on tv, or just to date in other pools they had not explored before).
In most countries noone would expect to find any longterm relationship there.
So therefor... they would go for the ones that would be best chance of joy or least "problematic" for shortterm or mediumterm "relationships".
I do not know how the asian version was.

I remember watching these shows with my grandfather in his Chinatown apartment, he’d be like “that guy is too ugly for the girls, don’t you think?” or “jeez that’s one hell of an intro”. Compared to some other dudes on these shows, you did pretty interesting. Showed this to my grandpa and he started laughing so hard. Thanks for the video Jay!

I used to watch the same type of show aired in my country but its the China version called 'Perfect Match'. Even as someone who is just watching I cant handle the awkwardness when the man have to go up to the women to turn off the buzzer, or when the guy got 0 lights on when it just started xD
The taiwan one copied the Mainland version, my mom used to watch it every weekend lol
I use to enjoy watching that show after school if I got home In time.
