The concert was near the end of the tour for their second album "Libertad" and came just a few days before the band went on hold following the departure of singer Scott Weiland. The set draws heavily on the "Libertad" album but also features tracks from their debut album "Contraband" and covers of Stone Temple Pilots and Guns 'n' Roses tracks.

He does this for a living, going on stage without giving a fuck if you can sing or not is disrespectful to the audience who paid to see you perform, when you're on tour you have to take care of yourself, especially if you're the lead singer.

Can people just enjoy the The SONG!!!!!!!!!! enough comparing Axl is good in Guns N Roses what he did makes GNR GNR. Same with Scott and Myles they all have different ways of singing and performing me personally Scott is the better performer and vocalist cuz he makes it dramatic

I'm really pissed on the idea that I won't be able to see a Velvet Revolver or STP in a reunion concert.
Not only was this shot around the time they broke up, but toward the end of that tour. Everyone looks and sounds exhausted.

Myles has a good voice, but there's a reason why Scott can be considered a legend and Myles is not.
And practically any singer can tell you that there are nights that you just don't have your voice.
I love Scott. He's a legend but Myles Kennedy also has an awesome voice and will be a legend when he is done.

He was on a ton of drugs in VR. When he went back to STP, he got clean for a while. I saw STP live and he was great.
There's a difference: Axl sounds awful becouse of his tone but by Scott it's becouse he misses the pitches.
Strangely enough, in the videos uploaded a few weeks back from a Stone Temple Pilots live show, Scott sounded spot-on. It may be chemistry, other tonality, or just a bad night. But yeah, it kinda sucks to see good vocalists fail.

This is the original Velvet Revolver lineup, Myles Kennedy wasn't in VR until later. Duff McKagan was the original bassist of Velvet Revolver (And Guns N' Roses) and the drummer is Matt Sorum (Second drummer for GN'R) I'm pretty sure Gilby Clarke was in Velvet Revolver when they started, although that's obviously not him in this video. I think you're thinking of Slash's new SOLO project with Myles and the bassist with long, black hair, don't call other people silly, and do the research.

Axle was overrated.he had much better range then Scott..but he always seemed like an office guy that did rock on the side..a pretty boy...but SCOTT was like BON SCOTT...he just oozed rock n roll from his PORES.
True Axl's range is one of the best but he sucks live and also had horrible technique which is why he sounds like mickey mouse live now days

I obviously agree that singers will have off nights, I haven't seen a good performance from Scott weiland since his unplugged set with STP that was a while ago.He's extremely temperamental.
The reason scott is a "legend", he was in STP (they were a great band... great in the studio at least). Myles is a better singer, he doesn't have the stage presence... but that comes with time, he usually plays with a guitar, so being just a singer is an adjustment. Myles isn't legendary yet (time will tell)
Now I see why Scott has been replaced by Myles ^_^
I play lead guitar and backing vocals in my band but trust me, if a lead singer wants to sound good night after night he does. Best example I can think of is Sully from Godsmack, never heard him hit a bad note, even when they were touring with Metallica and had 3 shows per week at times.

The guitar player for VR was Dave Kushner . I am very good friends with Slash. I met him through a mutual friend while I was in L.A. I am very close to his family including his wife, Perla, his father,Tony and his boys London & Cash.
I miss the west coast but I love being close to my family. I have some awesome pictures of me with Slash, Perla,Steven Adler , etc...
Slash and his wife hosted my wedding reception in their home. It was so awesome.
