Yes. I completely agree. I will forever rewatch this series and remember the emotions I first experienced when I watched it and listened to it for the first time. I still feel that way. This series is just so moving. It has such a powerful message too.
“There were dragons when I was a boy. Ah, there were great, grim sky dragons that nested on the clifftops like gigantic, scary birds. Little, brown, scuttly dragons that hunted down the mice and rats in well-organized packs. Preposterously huge sea dragons that were twenty times as big as the big blue whale. Some say they crawled back into the sea, leaving not a bone nor a fang for men to remember them by. Others say they were nothing but folktales to begin with. I’m okay with that. Legend says that when the ground quakes, or lava spews from the earth, it’s the dragons, letting us know they’re still here, waiting for us to figure out how to get along. Yes, the world believes the dragons are gone, if they ever existed at all. But we Berkians, we know otherwise. And we’ll guard this secret until the time comes when dragons can return in peace.”
in tthe book, hiccup says "I do not wish to see a world without dragons. I cannot imagine a world without toothless." something along the lines. it feels like teppei dying repeatedly in front of me
Sometimes... Sometimes, it's okay for it to end... Sometimes... The memories of the world we have envisioned in our minds are more beautiful than anything we can create to show others... And... sometimes... That's alright... We remember the beauty of the world more clearly than our eyes can see... The waters sparkle, the sunlight glancing off the waves seemingly more beautiful than the finest of jewels... The trees in the forest rustle in the wind, branches waving, with leaves of a deep green, appearing to contain more life than even the greatest of jungles... Clouds dart across the sky, each one fleeting in their ethereal nature, seeming so close, yet just barely out of reach... The sight of all of the creatures of the world, knowing nothing about them, yet feeling like you have known them for an eternity... The feeling that, if you just _opened your eyes..._ They'd be there... As if they had always been, and always would be... There, for the rest of eternity...
I still remember the day clearly when it's trailer came out. I was a at shop bought a microdigit which was like a psp (kinda popular at the time). Thought to try it and test some videos on it. HTTYD trailer was that one lol.
