      @@StephanieBCreativity she sends me art supplies for my BD and Christmas so I happily return the favor with things that I know she is interested in and can do. her handmade leather bag at Christmas was full of 2 more of books, a coloring book on neurographic drawing and coloring, a new drawing journal from Dylusions, a set of good colored pencils in a metal tin from Castle Arts and the Ohuhu markers. I also added in 10 skeins of yarn 🧶 4 boxes of teas from Harney & Sons and 2 paintings and a set of cards I made her. She is the only sibling I have so I start spoiling her for Christmas after bluer BD and plan for it all year. I randomly send her gift cards for eating out with her Stitch and Chatter ladies because it’s the only day of the week, besides MD Apts or he PT sessions, that she gets out of the house. It’s fun to pay my blessings forward. ❤️

    You know I never got into the knitting - my Mom loved to knit when she was younger, then she started to get problems with both fingers and eyes so she couldn't do that anymore. She got into gardening instead! I were more into embroidery, before internet that is! LOL I STILL find these videos so interesting to watch!! Awesome to see the process - plus I do like to support my artsy crafty friends! 😊 This turtle is SO ADORABLE Stephanie!!! Just lovely! I would have picked just the same side as you! Hi there. This is my 2nd of your videos to watch. I subscribed immediately because I love the way you teach. I have crocheted for over 40 yrs. In the last 10 yrs I started selling my stuffed animals. Unfortunately age brings arthritis so I had to stop crocheting animals and I was intruduced to the Addi 46 and 22. Now I can make stuffed animals again. So I really appreciate your turtle video as I was looking for something new to make and give to the fire departments and police departments to hand out to children . I sell my work to buy more yarn to make things for charity. So thank you for all your hard work and efforts.

    Would it be possible to make a larger turtle with the 48 pin Sentro? Using the same # of rows? (I only have that one machine.) I'm not a knitter by nature. I make crocheted "lovies" quite frequently, so learning how to make something so CUTE on my new Sentro is awesome! Thanks for a "newbie"-friendly channel.❤ Blessings!

    How do you pull them both when I cast on I usually do purl or knit it’s hard to make it flat is there a tutorial that shows how to thanks

    • @StephanieBCreativity
      @StephanieBCreativity  Год назад

      Oh my I just saw your question- when I cast on my knitting machine I do the long tail back and forth cast on and it allows me to just pull the cast on tail to draw the end closed. To cast off I pick up all the stitches with a darning needle threaded with the cast off tail. Then I can just pull the tail to close the cast off end.
      If you are knitting on needles I would leave a long tail that I could pick up all the stitches and then draw down to s closed end and tie it off.

    Do you have a tutorial on making the shell?

    • @StephanieBCreativity
      @StephanieBCreativity  8 месяцев назад +1

      Make 2 disks for the top and bottom shell:
      standard long tail cast on knit 30 rounds standard long tail cast off. Cinch the ends, flatten to make the shell and pull one yarn tail through to the other side to join both sides of the disk together and weave both ends to the space between the layers. Make a second one ad your top and bottom shells are made!

    Would pipe cleaners work for the legs or should it be the stick curlers?

    • @StephanieBCreativity
      @StephanieBCreativity  Год назад +1

      Hi, I’m going to go get some of the curlers to test. I wouldn’t recommend the pipe cleaners for toys as they could poke through the knitted fabric and potentially hurt by coming through and scratching the skin.
