So I sucked at guitar and got back into recently and playing metal core and learn shit and still feeling like I sucked so I went back to play emo style music, and now I realized how I improved😂 I learned the song in like 20 mins
i was really struggling with it but him breaking down the left hands rhythm first helped me figure it out. i was able to piece the two hands together much easier. it just works better for some people.

You make it more complicated than it really is. You have to learn both hands together not just learn the left hand first. Still a good lesson though
