Its amazing how much the family members of corvids will look out for eachother, that one waiting for her to be alright again was so dedicated! Also good work with the rehab of the raven and making sure it was safe for it to fly off
most likely a scout that was changed regularly. they do the same with spots where food is regular. post a lookout that will get changed out every so often
@@kongchangfan2237 The common Raven is insanely smart. They will taunt cats iin vicinity of each other to incite a fight between the cats, breaking the boredom. They will hold "courts" where Ravens that go against the group, steals food from the juveniles, attack other members of the flock, and will actvely punish the guilty one, as a group. you can tran them to find and deliver certain items to you over a period of time with nothing but shelled peanuts and patience

If it was a juvenile, like someone else commented, it was likely a parent waiting for it. Likewise it probably didn't fly off because it couldn't fly. It may well have hopped up to meet its parents though when it dried properly. Well done for saving it and returning it. 🙏👍
Great job! We rescued a fledgling too. They can't fly for many days after leaving the nest so she probably took a wrong turn and accidentally got in the water. Thank God you were there to help! We had been feeding ours those early days (they love small chopped raw beef) but the day we released him, I played a loud raven video on my cell phone and it didn't take long for the parents to show up.
lol nice! Now in according to Raven law that i have heard about in various stories........you now have Crow neighbors that have now made you apart of their flock. Be sure to leave peanuts out for them. some even bring gifts back to you as well~!
Any idea how she ended up in the horse trough in the first place? My neighborhood Raven often bathe in my Gist’s water bucket but it is shallow- they are never in danger if being caught/ trapped in it!
I don't know. I can only speculate that as an inexperienced juvenile she lost her balance and fell in and then got exhausted trying to get out. ?? I'll never know for sure.

Ich freue mich immer , über das viele Gezwitscher von den Vögel, sie kriegen auch nur das Beste zum essen ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

This was a young bird. So the waiting one was not its partner but probably a parent or a sibling.

Hoe u fed the little one before the release. But this happened years ago so hope both parent and kid lived a long life ...
