Its just like the one I had as a child. It was the only gift I ever wanted and i knew I couldn't ask my family for such a hobby toy. My mother bought this set back when the tracks were not so easy to keep together, the train would derail and it wasn't perfect, but now I see that they improved the tracks and its awesome.
I'm just getting ready after a lot of reading to buy my first starter set. What bugs me the most is I want the Bachman nickel silver track which has the grey roadbed but most of the sets don't tell you what track it is. I understand they want to sell their older now less desirable stock but we don't want to buy that unless that is what we are already using and have no plans to upgrade. I eventually want to go DCC and am not opposed to starting with DCC starter set. they do have value. Especially if the engine is DCC with sound and lighting capabilities. I would more than one set and sell the engine and DCC controller to get the track or buy non DCC sets with the grey roadbed but as I said most of the sets I have to come find a review to see what the track is inside the box because Bachman does not tell you on most boxes.
Its like the santa fe flyer :0 But very much so better in every way shape or form :) Idk what it is about the locomotive in the santa fe flyer set, but it just seems off looking to me, this one looks far superior in my opinion
My girlfriend bought me this set from Zitnic trains in Florida in November 2019, it’s still sealed in the wardrobe, I so want to set it up, but want to keep it sealed as well!

Open it and play with it, that is what it was made for, just take good care of it
I got that Santa Fe model
Nice set. But due to the desciption in my dealer´s online shop the locomotive is lighted. In Your video I couldn´t see any light.

Those gloves were made to inspect jewelry, so I thought it would be nice to use them to inspect trains ))
