@@chappelstation Great news and thanks very much for replying to my comment. That's the great part about the hobby sharing ideas and learning new ideas from other people to improve our Channel. Take care and stay safe DD.
Good to see you back, really looking forward to seeing your layout develop. I've recently got into modelling and am slowly building up my layout, I really like some of your ideas. Interestingly I visited the East Anglian Railway Museum 'Small Trains Day' at Chappel yesterday, it was really great to see the visiting layouts and those built by the Braintree & Halstead Model Railway club, they have a fantastic facility.
Thanks Andy, I am still learning but enjoying the process. I haven’t heard of the Small Trains Day but I did visit the Braintree and Halstead club room when I lasted visited Chappel. It’s very impressive. Good luck with you layout and thanks for watching
What a great layout and railway room you have!. You have done a great deal of work done already and very impressive. Iv been working on mine for over a year now and no where near the standard you've achieved with half the size of shed! Have subscribed to your channel and looking forward to updates! Regards Steve
Thanks Steve. Sometimes it’s hard to keep the momentum to keep making progress, work and life can get in the way but my advice is don’t beat yourself up, it’s just a hobby and will take as long as it takes to make the layout. I think a lot of the fun is in making the layout so perhaps it best that I never finish. I have seen other modelers finish and then rip their layout down and start again! Thanks for watching and good luck with your layout.
My first time at seeing your channel too. I’m a bit envious of your outdoor room. Nice and peaceful looking. It’s been a really good watch and liking the layout you have. I too have copied a heritage line on my channel. Still a work in progress. I hope you except the challenge of changing those radius 1 and 2 curves and go for 3 and 4 if there’s room. You’ll find all locos will run a lot smoother round them. I look forward to watching the progress from here on. Take care. Riggsy
Thanks Riggsy. I have just looked at your layout and subscribed. You have made a very close representation of the real Goathland station., well done. I like all the scenery and the sweeping curves of the track. Putting tight curves and fairly straight track were definitely my rookie errors. Thanks for watching
@@chappelstation thank you for the subscription and the kind comment. I was having a think today about slightly changing one corner to be more prototypical, but I’ll need to add another baseboard extension, so that’s on hold at the moment. I’ll keep an eye out for more videos of yours to see the updates.
Thanks Tom. I had a busy summer and lost my railwa mojo a bit but now feeling enthusiastic to get started on the layout again. Sometimes it’s good to have a break. Thanks for watching
Good to see you back again. Looking forward to seeing the layout develop. I too have a first radius curve which I now realise needs to be a second radius, another job on the list!
Thanks David. Yes was definitely a rookie error which I will have to change.. I have only fully sceniced one corner, so guessing it would be better to change them sooner rather than later!! Good luck with your layout and thanks for watching
Hi, great layout. Imagine it's fun to operate. Long runs for realistic trains. I have recently returned to the hobby and am thinking of a DC/ DCC split for the same reasons as you. Trying not to look thick here,...I know the two operating systems need to be totally isolated. So if I incorporate crossover points between the loops and use plastic joiners, all will be ok..... Just means I can't run locos over the crossovers. Apart from where I read that DCC locos can run on DC?..... Think I need to swat up more on it....
Hi, thanks for the comment. Yes it is great fun to operate. and yes, that’s what I have, insulated joiners between the crossover points. When I run the whole track on DC I have the two loops on two different controllers and just have to synchronize the speed when going over the cross over. It’s a bit of a faff changing over at the moment to run the whole layout on either dc or DCC but I am panning on making a control panel so I can do it at the click of a switch. Thanks for watching and good luck with your layout.
Thanks very much. I have learnt a lot and still have a lot to do to finish it but I am enjoying the whole process as well as just running trains 😃 Thanks for watching
It's the first time I've seen your channel and I have thoroughly enjoyed it I have subscribed and prest the little bell 🔔 I have noticed your railway name board a lot of other people have them can I ask were you get them from thanks
Hi Andy, thanks for watching. I got the sign from Amazon a company called Duke Gifts. I just searched for it but it states currently unavailable. They may be other companies on there that make personalized station signs. Have a search. Good luck
Enjoyed your latest video and liked thanks for sharing DD.
Thanks Dave. I have got my model railway mojo back so it’s full steam ahead, pardon the pun!!

Great layout. I do envy you your "train room", that whole building is just about the same size as my entire garden.
Thanks. Yes I am really lucky although it a big garden to look after and that takes up lots of my train time😩
You're new wagons look amazing exciting plan's ahead thankyou for the video
Thanks Mark, they are great and a real bargain at that price, something we don’t get to say that often with model railways. Thanks for watching
Great vid buddy👍💯👍 wagons look cool with the 59 👍👍
Thanks
Lovely updates all working great and lovely set of wagons.
Thanks. Yes very pleased with them, especially when they are being hauled by a DCC loco. Thanks for watching

Hi just seen your channel for first time, great layout in a lovely setting! Just subscribed to follow future developments. Cheers Gary
Thanks Gary, the progress slowed over the summer but hoping to make lots of progress now the nights are drawing in. Better than watching TV!
Lovely new stock and running session Mark thanks for sharing. Great to have you back again. Regards Tom

@@chappelstation Many thanks for your detailed reply. Much appreciated. I have lots to learn as I go.
You can buy longer shank kd couplers which will assist with the tight curves
Thanks I will look into that.
