What a fun video, Patty! Beautiful Vermont foliage, a trip to a pumpkin stand, a cosy crockpot chili, and lovely ways to use a scarf as a table runner. I love how Paula knows her sister would showcase that pretty covered casserole dish! I fully understand your dilemma with those vibrant pink geraniums. They deserve saving! Day in the life blogs ate my favorite videos, so thanks for sharing with us! 🐿🌾🍁💖😃

Thank you so much, Justine for your comments. We also love Vlog style videos and viewing a "day in the life". Great suggestion for the geraniums! They are still going strong ...I'm giving them until the end of the week and if they are still thriving, they will get re-potted. Have a wonderful day!!

New England has the best Fall colors! Glad to see that the serving dish made the trip without breaking. Yes to the scarf table runner. I thrift scarves and use them a lot. This one is perfect with the serving dish. I would repot the geraniums and bring them inside. We've had three days and nights of cold weather. Then highs in the 70s,80s. Rain tomorrow and at least a week in the 70s. I've enjoyed Fall more this year than any I can remember. That chili and bread would lbe good after soccer.

Thank you for your kind words. It has been an exceptionally mild and beautiful October here in New England and so I, too, have enjoyed it more than past ones. Would love to see how you use those thrifted scarves. Thanks again for your support.

I love the Autumnal colours! One day My Husband and I will take a holiday there. Oddly, because of the unusual weather patterns we’ve had in the past few years, we are getting some gorgeous Autumn colours.
The Chrysanthemums are widely know over here as ‘Pot Mums’ but in my area they are always known as ‘Chrysanths’. I’m sure this is just in my Home town!
The scarf is interesting as it is exactly the same as part of the Welsh National Costume. We normally call the smaller pattern as ‘Dogs Tooth’ and a larger version ‘Hounds tooth’.

Thank you for your comments. You would love it here in New England. I love the term "Dogs tooth" for the smaller pattern. It makes perfect sense. Our surname is Welsh...so now I need to look at the Welsh national costume. Thanks so much for your support and your very interesting comments.

@@relativelyrefined what is your Surname? Just curious!
The our Children dress up in ‘Welsh Costume’ for St. David’s Day on the First of March. There is always a red wool flannel petticoat with a red and black finely striped or checked dress which is is turned back from the waist down and fixed behind to show the red flannel petticoat. Over this is a white apron tied at the back. There is usually a lace trimmed triangular scarf fastened at the front. The most common hat is the tall black one with a white lace trimmed cap underneath tied with a bow. In this area, the most authentic hat is known as a ‘Cockle hat’. It is woven from black straw and has a short flat crown with a small brim around the face. It was worn by ‘Cockle Pickers’ who carried the baskets of cockles they picked from around Swansea Bay and Penclawdd mud-flats, on their heads. Thius the flat top to their hats. They also wore woollen shawls fastened in front which were woven at the Welsh Wool Mills. They had distinctive colours and check type patterns and a long fringe. I still have mine from when I was a child. It is cream background with a pale salmon peachy-pink main colour with a lovatt green/grey running through it. Sometimes a paisley pattern ‘best’ shawl would be worn.

Hi Patty! 👋🏻 Thanks for taking us along on your couple of days. I have yet to make it to New England to see the foliage. Someday. How’d the soccer game go? The table runner looks great! Take care. 😀👋🏻❤️
