I was leading a song at youth group about a year ago and it got to the bridge and I was like "I'm not going to rely on the other singers, I got this" (spoiler alert: I didn't got this) I was singing the wrong part and then I heard the other singers in my ear singing the correct part and they looked at me like "GIRL SING THE RIGHT PART LIKE RIGHT NOW" and I started freaking out and stopped singing and was trying to find where they were at. the tech guy/recent worship leader was singing the right part in my ear piece and omggg that was the worst moment EVERRRRR

I definitely agree about Ariana's newer music being less vocally demanding. It's really a smart move on her/ her team's part as a way to preserve the health of her voice. I also think all her new songs leave some room for her to ad lib in live performances whenever she's feeling good enough to show off her high notes.

I really find it horrible when people speculate about other people's sexuality.
It's not your business (them being celebrities doesn't give you the right to say negative shit about them) and honestly, the fact that they have to say these kinds of things to have views is sad in my opinion.
We should spread positivity and love.
That's also what Shawn has always believed in and what he was trying to express in this interview.
I love him so much because of this. He uses his voice not only to sing but to spread a message.

I follow BTS and it's a constant issue of people trying to speculate and spread rumors this one or that one is gay but in korea, just the rumor is a career ender. A kpop artist recently came out as gay and got black listed from korean media.
The point is, if they come out, cool. Support that and feel closer to them. Just don't speculate like a nosey nanny spreading false info to fit an agenda that there is no accurate proof on. It's disrespectful whether it's intended to be or not.

As long as Ariana grande uses the right techniques and can actually sing the notes then she should be fine. For instance the actress who plays Christine Daae on broadway has a very vocally demanding part (her highest note is an E6) and she has to perform that 8 times a week live and it would be really easy for her to ruin her voice but she uses proper technique and warms up her voice and that’s why she can do it.

Ashley Winn Since I wrote this comment I did find out that occasionally (but not usually) the E6 will be lip synced. But it’s only one small part in one show that’s lip synced it’s not like pop concerts where sometimes the whole song or even concert is lip synced.

although i do completely agree bc i am a total broadway nerd ,, i do know for a fact that sometimes they do pre-record the note for (rare) times when the actress isn’t confident with hitting it that night!! for example if the actress enters on certain side of the stage than she usually does the crew will know to play the note! (i only know this because i have worked with someone who was in phantom and she flat out spilt the tea) but they are such high notes that they can be damaging even if done healthily so you always gotta be prepared for the worst!
