Excellent interpretation and execution. This orchestra is wonderfully in sync with each other and Dudamel. Outstanding performance. Only wish the mic placement/sound engineering were slightly better to meet that standard.
Wonderful performance with great video and audio tracks. Rossini evokes the thieving magpie with beautiful Italian musical motifs. His music provides a theatrical spectacle. As another said, both composer and conductor are having too much fun with this music. Bravo!

Pero ganarte el repeto de ejecutantes experimentados es extraordinario, poner fuego en lo que puede ser una repeticion incesante es notable! Yup. I was listening to another version of La Gazza Ladra, and it didn't quite work. So I came here. Dudamel makes it swing, and pays attention to the tone of the instruments. I love the different snare tunings as well.
Actually, it may have been Leonard Bernstein (ok, probably not, but at least someone else very famous) who said he always liked to carry a big score to the podium because he thought it impressed the audience. I played in an orchestra where the conducter never had a stand or the music in front of him, but had it in a little stack on the floor slightly in front of him. What he thought he was going to do with it, I never quite figured out.

Che Rossini sia grande a me è sempre piaciuto non ci sono dubbi come del Maestro Dudamel che più l ascolto e piu mi piace e leggendo un commento mi venne da dire che Dudamel piu confrontandolo alle direzioni di altri Maestri è di una bellezza cristallina come se fosse più pulita di altre che si sentono certamente tutta l orchestra lo bene segue insomma è un fuori classe . la firma è un errore non certo da me Ivano
