I saw her perform this the month after her husband had unfortunately passed. There was a huge break before she started singing... It was truly heartbreaking yet so beautiful to be a part of it... It still makes me cry to this day.
I have been a huge fan of her for the past 40 some odd years; I, never ever knew that she ever was married. She must have married late in her life. This makes the song so very much more sad. 🤔
the love of my life just left me two days ago. I can't breathe. I can't sleep. I don't feel like myself. I don't know who I was or who I am without him. But this songs reminds me to wait, to move on and to wait
Lola Darling I hope you’re learning how to heal and cope. I see it’s been a year since this has been posted, and I hope things feel better now. Know that you are your own person, you were complete before them and you will be complete after. They have never been a part of you, just part of your story. Know that your story marches on regardless, and in a few chapters you will realize just how loved and complete you are without them. I’m sending you all my love and hoping that you are healing (if not this year, some year ♥️)
@@mml1677 oh my gosh I don't even remember writing this, but I am doing great! I took time to work on myself, and guess what? I've been in a loving relationship for the last year with my dream partner! Take time to heal, to move on, and live your life
The song is so simple, both lyrically and musically, but it works (one of Jerry Herman's best compositions easily) and with Bernadette delivering it, it is a marvel.
It is her tour de force. Saw her sing this on a pops concert in the early 80's when she was "working on" (her words, backstage) 'Into the Woods.' True Broadway royalty.
I just lost my husband and this gorgeous song, sung so exquisitely by Peters helps me. She is somehow able to convey the awful pain in a sad and beautiful way. She has a touch of genius, I believe.

An exceptional song; I remember feeling that exact way, after a devastating heartbreak. It's the way many people feel when they suffer that loss that it takes years to recover from, if ever. Lots of good songs in "Mack and Mabel," sadly I hear the show never truly worked on stage.
I'm dedicating this song to my sister for my recital. She was killed far too soon and this song makes me think of her. I hope she's proud of me when I perform it
I just saw the great Ms Peters last week in the latest revival of 'Follies' on Broadway...divine as the neurotic Sally Durant and her rendition of 'Losing My Mind' was blowing my mind...she's as big as her characters: Mabel Normand, Mama Rose (Gypsy) or Annie Oakley...if not bigger. Love you Ms Peters...
When I heard her sing this on the Mack and Mabel soundtrack, I thought she didn’t really feel or understand the meaning and heartbreak of it. Here, years later, she does.
She's so amazing (and that dress, which reminds me of the Jessica Rabbit). I was lucky to see hey Gypsy & Follies on Broadway and in a solo concert in Melbourne.
Jerry Herman is fantastic. Jerry, I'm married to a guitar player, Joe Negri, He played for Michael Feinstein --- they did an album a few years ago - Come Fly with Me …. We are big fans of your's and have always been.
blk bbw this id vaccination is the dumbest thing. You already been track on your phone, your computer, your health data when u see doctor. One of the dumbest conspiracy theory argument during a pandemic.
Wow! While listening to Bernadette Peters here on youtube, working and not watching....I realized how Susan Boyle's singing voice sounds just like Bernadette's!(I caught myself thinking that I'm listening to Susan Boyle, several times.)As far as I'm concerned, that proves that Susan Boyle and Bernadette Peters have the most beautiful voices here on earth...
Hey!! Anyone know the name of the song she sung when on The Actor's Studio w/ James "Why are you named after soup" Lipton. Seriously, I onl, I only remember one line, something about " Don't think of where you've been, think of where you are."?
It's a shame Georgia Brown's version of this of this wonderful song is no longer available here on You Tube. If I had to choose between Bernadette's and Georgia's rendition my head would probably explode. If anyone has Georgia's version, please, please, post it.

Ryan Nolin I can only imagine that kind of pain and sorrow
@@BriscoSinger Oh, didn't all our hearts just break for her during that horrible period in her life... She's just the best.
Thank you for sharing that beautiful moment. I am thinking of my precious husband, who died in 2018. Time will never heal that! 💔💔💔💔

One of the BEST female voices of this time. She brings JOY to my heart!
Lost my dog today, my boy. My heart aches. This song brings me hope, if only an ounce. I already miss you buddy.
The song is so simple, both lyrically and musically, but it works (one of Jerry Herman's best compositions easily) and with Bernadette delivering it, it is a marvel.
This is definitely one of my favorites....you can definitely tell that it has deep meaning to her.

Bernadette Peters rendition of "Time Heals Everything" at the 1987 Tony Awards was great!
Exquisite woman... and this SONG is made for her... Rest in peace JERRY HERMAN..🙏😢
Just amazing. Have listened to this CD for years but actually seeing her perform it gave me goose-bumps. Out of this world performance. One of a kind.
I had the distinct pleasure of seeing/hearing her sing it at the Los Angeles Music Center during the engagement there of MACK & MABLE!
Bernadette Peters doing this song is unparalleled.
Beautiful song sung by Broadway legend!
Heartbreaking and powerful.
Legendary..

This is such a beautiful song. The first time I heard it I knew it would be stuck in my mind. Ms. Peters does a magnificent job.
Hauntingly, Heartbreakingly Beautiful.
Bernadette Peters simply owns this song, indelibly, and this performance, in particular, is the proof.
She is astounding. I adore her.
I'm dedicating this song to my sister for my recital. She was killed far too soon and this song makes me think of her. I hope she's proud of me when I perform it

Fabulous song,by a truly great performer! she does everything so well!
BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE & SONG !!

I adore her !! She's got such a unique sound 💛💛 powerful vocals too
Time changes feelings , but not the love. Loving you goes on..
Love this lady.
Uggh... this is PERFECT. This is proof that she's one of the greats.
This song reminds me of a love I lost years ago. The only regret of my life! The "Some year" never has come but we all just go on!
Completely wonderful !!!

i was in mack and mabel in high school, this was one of my favs
Beautiful.
Could her voice be any more miraculous?!!!!! She is Gorgeous!!!!

Can I just be Bernadette Peters? She's wonderful!

Lovely voice!
I got to see her in concert shortly after her husband was killed. She was amazing. It makes this song all the more heartbreaking.

@moo3992 The show is "Sunday in the Park with George" by Sondheim .... the song is either Move On, or, We Do Not Belong Together ... one or the other.
Time heals everything
Amazing, love her! xD
SWOON
Her (only) husband, of 9 years, was killed in a helicopter crash in 2005. Very sad, and evidenced, here, perfectly.
Sally Sue Ember this was in 1998 though
What a cupcake! Even if she wasn't one of the most talented performers who ever lived, she'd still be impossible to ignore.
And lots of Bernadette ;)
I love having this song and her voice stuck in my head. Was this before or after the death of her husband?
smmurden This was before. Michael died in 2005...
Some next time. Tuesday,Thursday, Autumn, August, next year. Sometime.
Time heals everything but loving you!!!!

love that song Vincent joseph chellemi
❤
She must have been wonderful in the LA production.
I'm taking a guess here, but she's always worn a lot of Bob Mackie gowns and this one really looks like his style. Lots of glitz and va-va-voom.
I would send roses.
When do you think this pandemic will end?

8 years late but I’m guessing “moving on” from sunday in the park?
This song makes everything OK.
So dose reporting them to the police. (Sorry I have issue) I replace the word ‘loving’ with loathing And this song sits uncomfortably well with me.
@QuietGuyCO thanx alot...good lookin' out!

Does anyone know what key this is in?
I don't know the original key but she sings it here in D major. Thank God for perfect pitch LOL

the original was E flat

When will cyberpunk 2077 be released?
CD Projekt Red: 2:00
umm just because it was two years, it doesnt mean she didnt love him. im sure she deffinetley uses it as a root for feelings. how did her husband die?
Okay, you have a point.
Isn’t she in Katy Keene
Who designed that gown?
Bob Mackie usually did her gowns.
What happened to the audio?
@stickstr8up1 Haha no. I'm guessing it was cold in there, so if she whipped 'em out, she'd poke everyone's eye out with those things.
She's a Songbird!
Nice. And I LOVE Bernadette and her singing and performing, but ...
When the saxophone started playing I thought it was her...
I see 1 year old comments explaining this as a pandemic meme..
Pandemic experts telling us when it will all be over: 3:00
When Cyberpunk 2077 will be released?

Sax a bit too intrusive?
AGRRE🙏🏻I find it very annoying, throughout the song!!!
Now I know why this song is sad. The version I heard first was creepy... Listen to the 1988 concert version, that version creeps you out!
