I saw these guys just 4 nights ago in Wellington, New Zealand. I knew little about them but my 19 year old son wanted to see them for his birthday. They were astounding and I’m now discovering more about them. This album is fantastic.
I'm glad you liked them and I'm sooooo jealous! I saw them on the original tour for "Misery..." Which was one of the coolest moments of my musical life. Maybe the most beautiful album I own.
Truly one of my favorite bands! In fact, I have a follow up to this video going up in the next week or so that goes much deeper into their debut album and the history behind their formation.
The way you speak of misery is a butterfly is exactly how I've felt for years. But I've suppressed talking about it to friends whomever because I felt like they wouldn't appreciate it in the same way. Another reason why I don't listen to them like I used to when I was younger. The emotions and significance they had in my life at such a younger age makes it hard to listen without reliving those moments. Again thanks for the awesome video. 🤘🏽👹🤘🏽
Glad you enjoyed it! I know digging into its history gave me a whole new appreciation for it as well. Now it’s one of my top 10 most played albums on vinyl!
I loved this video. Excellent work putting this together. I've listened to them for decades and sometimes it takes that long for me to really take a moment to learn the band. This video was a fantastic exploration into the band and I will share it.
Great video! One of my favorite bands over the last 25 years, and I still listen to them all the time. Now my 10 and 12 year old kids also love Blonde Redhead.
Awe, I love this! I've actually been working on another vid covering the band's early days and their self-titled debut album. If all goes according to plan, it should be out before the end of the year!
@@AndyFenstermaker yes!!!! You gave a new life to this album for me, it’s beautiful to know what the people behind the records you love where goin thru, keep up the good work :)
