I'm so glad I saw this video. I just bought this set for myself from Miniatures Market as a Christmas 🎄 gift to myself (oh why thank you, you shouldn't have), and now I know what to expect when it ships sometime later this month. Thank you and GREAT video!!
Love this boxed set! You can't beat the value for the details and volume of product delivered! 26 customizable minis + 2 full ships + rules + bits is INSANE.
One of my lofty new year resolution goals was to not buy any more minis this year, since I have more than enough to paint as is. Although after seeing the two sloops I may have to do something easier, like not drinking until Christmas. Much more achievable
oh wow, they went with plastic ships? I actually still have my kickstarter purchase I did with one of the large resin ships. It’s still I the box :) I will get to it !
Awesome looking starter set. It seemed to be a nice start for Blood an Plunder. I can't wait for my pre-order to arrive. I would normally want to put all the cannons on the ships, but having at least 2 to 4 cannons for land battles seems like the way to go. It would have been nice to see the differences in the two ship builds, but oh-well; can't have everything.
Nope nothing to see here, not at all jealous you got yours shipped over early. Excellent and very through unboxing of all the components and very much looking forward to it when it arrives!
I fancied painting up some pirates but this starter looks great value, especially as you get to do skirmish land battles, sea combat AND boarding actions 🤗 My order is in as a gift to me for my birthday 😁
Mines on pre-order for £95, the sloops are £32 each on their own so its a great value starter set. Better value than the original version I would say. Doesn;t matter the figures are plastic anymore as they are as good as the metal ones nowadays.
Having purchased the KS all that time ago and when you account for the KS bonuses, it may be the best hobby value I have see in a while. I am most looking forward to the special edition fake leather bound rulebook. Just thinking about it has me giggling like a school girl.
This is very appealing. I have the rules and a fair number of figures, including the English faction, and the card deck for it, but no vessels of any description. If the ships are going to be available separately, as you’ve mentioned in a reply, it would probably make more sense to buy those, and the figure sets, rather than get this with a rule book I don’t need, though that may depend on what the term comparative prices. One point that puzzles me about the ship models: the completed one is a waterline model, as it indeed needs to be to facilitate play, yet the sprue you showed includes a keel, if I heard you correctly. I suppose some might want to play with their ships in the bath, but in that case surely a working bilge pump will also be required. No doubt I’m overthinking things as usual.
Would love to play this but why to expensive to get New Zealand $132 shipping total $457 US wow. Do you know if they will do just the figures in plastic box sets? Even the the 2 set is $97 shipping! Shipping costs have gone mad 😢

If I remember correctly, I was really interested in this game, but didn't it used to come in resin? If I'm thinking the same game, that is what scared me away from it. I'm definitely taking a look at this set when my finances can afford it.
Pre-ordered this the other day, was originally going to kitbash them into Turnip28 forces, but I've changed my mind. I'm going to give this game a shot.
Firelock Games always produces visually stunning imagery and game pieces. Great ruleset and flavor too.

Now to wait for a week of blood and plunder raise the black videos with tons of content and play throughs!!!

Great video, really hoping this becomes available again soon.
This looks like a great game. I am currently putting together 2 early war bolt action armies, but will check this out later this year.

How much does Blood and Plunder game kit cost. And how long will it take to mail to Texas USA.
Awesome review! Very cool! I have mine and absolutely love it!
@Gerry mcCabe Thanks very much Gerry really appreciate the support.
That looks fantastic!!!!! I will add that to the list now
Hopefully will get soon. Kickstarter estimated delivery was Oct 2021
I should pick this up. Looks like a great set
Looking forward to the Gerry can rigging tutorial.

I've got the 'fake leather' versions of their previous rulebooks.
They are very very cool.

That makes sense, though it removes the viability of threatening to keelhaul mutinous swabs...
This looks pretty cool!

Take a look at Black Scorpion Miniatures - Cutlass range. Not sure about shipping though.
That ship is dead cool

:) Hello ! Thank you for this video !

3 sheets to the wind, but only 2 🤔 Bet the other is probably down the pub, drinking grog & womanising 😜
Hoooly crap! I just got the worst case of gottahaveit I’ve expreienced for years…
What the hell? As if I hadn't enough hard plastic as it is.
That's so funny that's n exact replica of the oak n iron sloops
I know cause I painted them
@Gerry mcCabe don't spend toom much time on the sloops...I got that game to round out my sails of glory fleet..and I needed that map n terrian
