Listening to actors talk off the stage or screen is enough to make you vomit. They make believe for a living. They're not curing cancer or anything.

Theater, movies and the arts create an escape from reality. No, they aren't curing cancer. But actors, directors, set designers, light crews and every person involved in a production do a bit of magic. If only for a moment, they release someone from their worries. The worries of, "what will my kids do when I'm gone? How can I pay for another hospital bill?". For a scene, a second, two hours, those worries are nothing.
Every person in this world plays a part. If everyone was a doctor or a scientist, where would folks go to cool off after a long day of surgery? Not to the movies, not to the theater, not to netflix, not to a book. Artists are integral to your life.
