Hello @TechSteve, I just have a Question I have a Laptop and a PS5 and Can I use the OBS software to show this monitor as a windows Capture while streaming games or recording SHorts and Clips for YouTUbe and Twitch
For anyone trying to watch 4K Netflix on this display, you need to use the hdmi port and not the display port. 4K Netflix requires display port version 1.3 and above. This has version 1.2. Took me a couple of days to figure out why I couldn't get Netflix in 4K on this monitor.
I'm using m3 macbook pro. If I buy, I'll use it to daily, not for games. Mac should support 4k quality. Isn't that enough to 4k quality? I'm asking your help, because I don't know what is 1.2 or 1.3.

Is this the best 4k monitor around this price in your opinion? The specs say it has AMD freesync so wouldn't VRR still work? 😅

@@handlemonium I haven't used this one, but it looks to be a pretty nice monitor too, but I believe the samsung would be better by a little. In terms of value, I'd give that to the samsung (but only when it's on sale)

@@chrisalvarez2467 Go with the Mount It! MI-765 for wall mounting a monitor. To be honest though, I'd just get a nice desk clamp full motion monitor mount, it'll save you from needing to drill holes in your wall

LU28R550 has Innolux panel, but I am not sure if that’s good or bad compared to S27A700.

Go with the IPS-LCD 28 I been using the Samsung 28inch 4K Monitor for more than 2 years now haven’t faced no issues. It’s definitely a value for money

@@diyachyy It's doing a good job. It isn't a perfect monitor, there's a little light bleed in the lower left that I can see when the background is black, but I don't expect an Apple Studio at this price point.

@@bryans8656I’ve read some articles on this monitors color accuracy and someone claimed to get it down to a delta E of 1.4 which absolutely insane for this price tag.
Although from what I remember they didn’t specify what setting were set for the calibration, but as you can see from my previous comment I offered you some calibrations settings, those are not clarified to offer the 1.4 delta E, they are from someone on Reddit.
I'm watching on this exact monitor lol (bought it one year ago for 250) and I must say it's a great value entry level 4K IPS monitor! but you will need a good display port for it, cause it's very bad on HDMI it looks too dark.
I switched to thunderbolt to DP now it’s more amazing
I am using it off of my MacBook Pro M1 and a HDMI to USB-C and it looks great.
Thinking about pairing this with my 34 inch SJ55W which is the VA panel.it’s the same overall design stand, height… also,this is such a common monitor there are color profiles available. Not the most features, but it does the job.
27" 4k monitor is good or i should go for something like 32" althought i think it will be too big, but i don't know how big of a difference there is between the two sizes. Which one will be smoother?
Smaller models are sharper because they have the same pixel count the larger monitors will not be as clear
I changed my 10 years old monitor to this. As I see it has the same quality as the old one. I wanted to use it for my PS5 but all my games are ugly on this Samsung screen. I think it's a waste of money...

@Parisvaldez I just ended up adding the spacers that were included with the mount for curved screens. I just need the spacer the push th square Vesa mount out the dumb circle samsung has in the design.

Hi , I have purchased same samsung 4k monitor 28 inches but today after using 2 month later I got monitor problem . the monitor became whitey display and fliking screen and there in no monitor repairing service center . I think samsung monitor is bad then other company.
Where do you live? They have warranty on it for repairs in the US

I have this monitor, Game mode cannot be used at all when HDR is on. I'm using an Xbox Series S with this monitor and I'm playing with HDR and the game mode feature is no allow.
Do you think this monitor would be good for xbox series x also? Currently looking at budget monitor to keep me going until I get big gaming tv. So I am sticking in that 60hz budget realm. But it seems very few choices? But this monitor is like one out of say 4 monitors. ASUS TUF Gaming VG289Q1A 4K seems like a good one when it goes on sale. But this Samsung? Has similar specs.

@@TechSteve he probably has it on a presest mode, some of those turn off HDR and other setting adjustments like brightness and contrast

For graphics designers I would recommend a professional higher end monitor with higher nits. This is a basic model

The monitor is just a display, the source you use has to have hdr outputs for the monitor to display it
